I am starting to warm up to your posts Yetti. Everytime you say something, it sounds like you are a king handing down a decree.

This lyric is a lie! They must be removed from these pages!

Moochie is a blight to this team!

Larry Smith is a trainee coach! Off to the video tape room with him!!

    :)

why is it that everyone who says the rockets would have been beaten by the bulls ALWAYS fails to acknowledge that the rockets owned the bulls in the jordan/olajuwon eras?

it's one thing to say you think the bulls would have won, it's another thing to clearly and consciously ignore facts.

Don't know CJD, but I have to say I not only agree with him about Mooch and Larry Smith, but I would take it further and start seeing about a successor for Carrol Dawson.

About the article, the guy is only talking about T.V. ratings. You think all of America wants to watch the Nets and the Spurs? Its not a marquee matchup. It has nothing to do with the quality of teams. The NBA Finals T.V. ratings were low when the Rockets were winning also. That's the only point he is making.

If you click on the link, you will see that they bring up the rear on just about every quality of life indicator listed. No sense tripping about what their loser sportswriter thinks about the Rox.

I was watching the finals tonight. and one of the announcers said that a regular season MVP hasn't missed the finals in over 13 years.... hmm......except that year the Rockets destroyed the Spurs and their MVP in 94-95. It's wierd, cos I always felt that was one of the most amazing playoff runs I've seen, yet it is continuously ignored!

Give the writer credit, he responded:

OK, I'm over it. And you'll get no argument from me
about Olajuwon's greatness during that period.
Thanks for taking the time to write.

    Best regards,
    Reggie Hayes

What constitutes a great Finals? Michael? Shaq? Get over it, there have been some great champions and great Finals. In fact, all champions are great.

Regrettably, your column indicates a lack of greatness since it does not measure up to the magnificence that was the NBA’s greatest player in the mid-90s, Hakeem Olajuwon.

BTW – scribes and fans have derided the Blazers mercilessly for passing over Jordan for Sam Bowie. No one ever offered the same derision to the Rockets.

it may not get huge ratings, but at least it isnt as onesided as in past years. SA will win, but at least NJ looks like they may put up a fight.

At least he has a sense of humor...

This issue, isn't about Hakeem's "Greatness" or acknowledgment of it. It's about a subjective topic called "entertaiment!"

And in every other city (BESIDES HOUSTON), the 93-94 Rockets were one of the most boring TEAMS to watch. Ever!

You can't force people to respect you.

He responded to mine too. I gave it the subject line "You Suck". Like the other poster said, he does seem to have a sense of humor.

    "Bill,

Indiana will win a championship after Isiah Thomas is fired. How long
after? Let's just say Reggie Miller will have lost his jump shot by
then. Wait, that already happened. OK, maybe they'll never win a title.

    Best regards,
    Reggie Hayes
