Assuming it is JVG...

Since it appear the Best Coachching Vacancy is JVG's to lose, I have decided to revisit past posts of mine with the question, 'who might Vandy (Vungy?) tyr to bring to the Rox'?

For Cat haters, there is the thought that Spree might head to town.
It sounds like Patrick might deign to join his former coach as a Yao tutor (please, spare me the irony). Might Ewing's brother in arms join him, too -- Zo a Rock?
What about Camby (why not a 4/5 rotation of Yao, Zo, Camby, and EG?) or Kurt Thomas?
    Who else might be pursued?

Ahg!! That is horrible, why turn our team into the crappy Knicks? I would never what Spree on the Rockets, camby is injured every other game, Zo is injured just as much. Please hire Dunleavy! JVG is a quitter and would make the Rockets the most borring team in the NBA to watch. JVG knows deffense and that is it. Duneavy is a hell of alot better than JVG.

Oh, I don't know. I wouldn't mind cherry picking the Knicks and/or adding Zo.

Regardless of what I may want, what would Coach JVG want to do with personnel? That is the operative question.

And, what personnel might be attracted to (or repelled by) Coach JVG?

Dunleavy is nothing but another Rudy with good blader. Why bother firing Rudy if you want Dunleavy?

Hey....JVG....could bring ALONZO AND PATRICK! W00T! Maybe Dikembe too...bring back Hakeem as well!

Our team is already fine. I don't want any Knicks unless we can get rid of Mobley. There is that one point guard named Frank..maybe get him. I like Doleac too...for fun!

    JVG FOR COACH!

This isn't a 'get so-and-so' thread. This is a question as to whom JVG might bring, try to bring, or who might like to play for JVG.

No way Rockets trade for Cat for Spree. Besides, Spree makes too damn much. Dont care too much more Camby, too injury prone. Same can be said about Zo.

U know, its not necessary that if a coach goes to a different place, he will drag other players w/ him. Especially if CD is still the gm. We got a good squad. Try to make that better. Add or trade for OUR weaknesses. Shooter, Banger, PG. I'm sure thats what the second interview will be about. If Van Gundy mentions names like Camby or Spree, interview failed.

Van Gundy is a fan of Mobley. He was one of the three players he mentioned when talking about the job. I wouldn't look for him to be moved if JVG is the new coach. Oh, Larry Brown was also a big fan of Mobley. Interesting, 2 of the top coaches in the league like what Mobley brings to the team. But what do they know, right SLA?

    You are absolutely correct!!!

But....if Allan Houston or Latrell Sprewell decided to come to Houston.....then Mobley would have to go!

If Jeff Van Gundy brought one of them along....probably not..but Mobley would have to go....or he could be our great 6th man!

And most coaches praise Mobley! So I think he will still be with us...

    Hopefully...our team will be better.

    God Bless the Houston Rockets!

To be honest, I don't think JVG will have a whole lot of input in personnel matters. I don't think he'll bring in anyone that CD doesn't like just as much or even more.

Thomas is good, but no Othella. I never won't to hear Murphy say "Othella is my fella" again.

Kurt Thomas would be perfect for the Rockets, but I doubt the Rockets and Knicks would be able to trade.

I HOPE HE BRING PJ BROWN.

He is better than Kurt Thomas and the perfect compliment to Yao. He can hit the 15 foot jumper, rebounds and defends better.

    PJ BROWN PLEASE...........
