Didn't he get the spear through the stomach ? I would assume he was dead or will soon die and be the reason Tyrion is found not guilty . Strange that the young king didn't seem to be in attendance , I would think he would be the one to over rule Tywin on the verdict .
I thought it was because they had come so far, been through so much, only to find out she was dead... it was one of those moments where you can't help but laugh.
I agree, if it isn't in the show and it has to do with something that is going to happen in the future, it's a spoiler. Sure some are big, some are small, and some may not matter, but why risk ruining it for people? I think the fight scene was pretty good by the show's standards, though they did way too many cut aways. For anyone interested, here is a comic that shows how the fight happened in the book: Spoiler
yea...I took it as that and that guy who brought her all the way there wasn't getting any ransom. lol I'm left wondering if she will even be reunited with her sister or they just leave? I guess I will find out next show.
I think its because every time she is close to finding a family member...they are dead. Ned Stark Rob and Catelyn Stark And now the weird chick
Oberyn died first. So the Mountain "wins", even if he dies later. Like Tywin said, Tyion has now been found guilty and is sentenced to death. Nobody knows Sansa's there. Just Littlefinger, Lord Robin Arryn, and the 3 Lords of the Vale who Sansa "confessed" to. None of the guards know and the Hound and Arya certainly don't. There's no reason for them to go any farther. With Lady Lysa dead, they no longer have any business in the Vale.
How do you know this for certain? Do you have a copy of the House Lannister Trial by Combat Rulebook?
It seems logical based on the events that transpired. Also Tywin declared it at this point, unless something completely random comes out of the woodworks at this point to question it.
Mountain wasn't shown to be dead when the show ended, so we don't know what would happen if that ends up being the case. Cannonball answered like he knows for certain, so I'm asking him how he knows. Maybe I missed them going over the rules in the show.
I get what you are saying. He rolled over, but also could be alive. I guess it leaves a lot of things open.
I don't know what happens, but a case could be made that Oberyn had already won the combat, and that what happened after should not necessarily matter. In any case, he was a fool, blinded by rage and revenge, and he paid the ultimate price. Poor Tyrion. Almost as bad as if you were, say, in a Game 6 of a playoffs, on the road, and you make a shot to take the lead, on the road, with less than one second left, and then you still lose. ALMOST as bad as that.
Does anything semi-happy happen from now until the end of the series? I'm guessing the answer is "not really". Having not read the books, I'm not even clear where this is going except maybe everyone dies in the end. lol
I think in scientific terms, this phenomenon is known as the Lillard Effect. Poor James Har err Oberyn Martell. All offense and no defense. He got caught watching.
f this show, seriously, f this show. This is the worst / best show i've ever watched and I hate / love it so. f this, im out (until next week / forever).
