Hopefully they'll show some gameplay at E3. I think its possible for it to look somewhat close to how it is in the trailer though. Only having to use their assets to animate 2 characters at a time(maybe four if they are bringing tag matches back)and the environment. I'd expect it to at least look better then the Arkham Knight character models

i picked up the wii u MK8 deluxe edition the other day....man so good. granted the last MK i played was for N64...i saw someone else mention MK8 was only updated a bit from the wii version.

but not only is it stunning visually...but i love the little things they added/did. specifically how if you're in 1st basically all you get from the question mark boxes are coins. i think it adds another dimension to the game...sometimes you'll get burned...other times you'll have an advantage chasing the leader.

i also like the shell that basically just seeks you out hovers over you and then hits ya...wrecking ya. again just another little addition that helps add a wrinkle to the game play.

one thing i haven't seen/read about are the different vehicles you can drive. are they all the same in terms of balance/speed? like does riding a motorbike make you go faster because its lighter but maybe not a balanced on turns and such?

 

I think it's time.

I'm going to pick up an XBO or PS4 this week. Will have both by the time the gen is over, but I'm trading/selling my old stuff so this first one will be my primary for a while (probably). If I get an XBO, I'd like to have connect at some point but that can come later, so it's $399 either way.

Dude Sub-Zero always loses to Scorpion. That's why there has been like 4 different Sub-zeros in the series thus far, lol

 

Plus...scorpion is already dead (the original sub-zero killed him) so it's not like homeboy can die again. Amiright?

 

I love how they went with Wiz Khalifa for the trailer music. It works well, and before this I wouldn't have thought the two would mix well.

 

I dont buy Nintendo systems simply because they are just not my kinda thing, but those death stares.....Im tempted to go and buy one! :-D

The slo-mo is awesome for all of the characters and super easy to use. It rolls back and forth in slo-mo with a video editing wheel type feel. There are so many details in the game that are great.

 

annd i searched this and found out yes there are stats for the diff vehicles and wheels and such.

anyone wondering when you're selecting character and kart and whatever hit the + button to bring em up. had no idea. good stuff.

 

LOL, I never saw you post. I have been playing with Mario on a 150cc and roller tires. Haven't tried much else.

 

Is there an option to use the d-pad to control the vehicle vs motion on the wiimote? I hate pretending I'm steering a vehicle and it's no where as precise as using a the controller. I haven't tried to play on the game pad yet, but I have a wii U pro controller I finished charging that I might have to use.

 

You can use the Gamepad, pro controller or wii remote and nunchuck. How long does a charge last on your procontroller? I head it is awesome and am thinking of getting one for this game. So far I'm using nunchuck/remote combo.

 

Don't know. Purchased it on sale when the Wii U was released and it's been sitting in a box till now. From my google search, it says 80 hours. That might be true because it took a loooong time to charge.

Edit: Used the Wii U pro controller and MK8 is the same as every other MK. Was impressed with Mushroom Cup because it had all new levels, but the one under it, was typical MK. It might sound like I'm bashing the game, but I like it. I don't like how probably over half the tracks in the game are from previous entries.

 

I like that. It's quite nostalgic. Though I haven't played Mario Kart much since n64.

I played a bit just now, the luigi stare down is real. Pretty funny, especially in slo mo.

 

Are they making it for xbone.

 

EA UFC demo is available to download for XBone. Just search for it on bing.

It's OK. Collision detection is off a fair bit. The graphics go between ok to stunning depending on fight situations. Controls are complicated but I'm sure after a while you'd get used to them.

It needs a bit of work to be honest in my opinion. It feels like a game that should be out in 6 months time. Like it's a really early build.
