How do yuo take a bad angle to a player that simply steps out and catches the ball? is that like deliberately aiming 7 feet to the left or something?

When Harden plays matador defense, look ma, he never tries!
When George plays Matador defense, look ma, he's trying!

People went on a meltdown when we gave up a 26 footer on a last second inbounds play, i don't even want to imagine what would happen if we gave up a straight line drive layup that comes on a simple pass with no screens on the same play that essentially cost us a finals berth.

Dude Harden didn't even try and that was a norm for him this season. PG tried but LBJ blew by him. Every player gets blown by ever so often.

Paul George is one of the cockiest pricks to walk the earth. I don't want him on my team.

I take Harden and that's without even bothering to assess their games.

I like George better. He is a good defender and smooth offensively. Watched his games and always thought he is a better fit with Dwight Howard.

    harden.

something tells me he's going to have an amazing career in houston. morey can make moves. give this team some time - look at SA.

dwight will be more of a leader/anchor next year. and there's bound to be a new face or two.

He wasn't talking about this specific scenario, but in the most recent Lowe Post podcast JVG was asked about offense and defense and he went on to say something along the lines of give me the elite offensive talent with mediocre defense over the elite defender with mediocre offense all day every day.

Paraphrasing here but he said in his mind being that gifted offensively can never be taught, it's nearly all talent that some just don't have and can't learn. On the other hand he believed defense can be worked on and improved.

Thought it was also interesting that he said that he believes even defensive minded coaches worry more about their teams offense than defense.

Here's the link for anyone who is interested in some good basketball talk.

George for Harden. Both teams benefit.

Only if your a Indy fan which maybe Carl is. While the rockets need defense. They can't have zero players that can create for himself and others. Paul George just isn't that guy. I don't get the infatuation with this guy. Anyone who watches Indy knows the offense runs through lance freaking Stevenson. Paul George has no handle or court Vision. Id love to have him as hardens Scottie pippin but I don't want him to be Dwight's tag team partner over harden that's for sure.

The sooner Paul George realizes he's a 2nd option player and really a 3rd option on a true contender the better he will
Be. The pacers are forcing him to be something he's not. Regardless what ppl think on this message board hardens way closer to being the best player on a true contender than PG.

Pacers fans have talked about how the spotlight has changed him into an inefficient shot chucking individual player, that he is not as focused on playing the team game anymore.
His press conferences are about blaming other players, and blaming the refs.
He paid $1 million dollars for an abortion.

From what I've seen he has some serious attitude problems to adjust before he becomes likeable.

Outside Houston I think most people would take Paul George or at least the 7 people I asked. Doesn't make it the right choice though. Those two would make a good duo.

I think that the NBA MVP voters would disagree as Harden was 5th in the voting and George was 9th.

Hence why i said for himself and "OTHERS" Dwight is a stud and can get his on offense anytime he wants. With that said he's absolutely terrible passing out the double or recognizing we're the help defense is coming from. Harden is the only player on the team that can do both and very very good at both. Hardens bad at defense but a ball hog who doesn't get his team involved he is not.

And that's the problem with the media. They shape what the mass public thinks. Anyone who watches basketball should know From an objective standpoint that hardens on a different level then Paul George. Both players need to mature a lot but harden actually already has the superstar game and numbers to back it up. Paul George is the toughest planet to judge because he plays hard defense and has games we're he shoots 7/10 on 3s and looks like the best player in the game but the reality is he can't dribble and has suspect playmaking ability. Something harden is no lacking. Basically if Paul George isn't hitting a boatload of tough contested jumpers his game is very similar to a Kawie Leonard or chandler parsons. He got anointed to quick because of a few good games against lebron and the heat.
