Ah yes, wasn't it a wonderful game for the Rockets. Imagine actually being at the game at Reunion Arena and watching the Rockets have their way with the Mavericks. It was sweet from the beginning to end. I did a get a little nervous at the end but I had faith they would still pull it out.

My seats were in the lower part of the upper prom and they werent that bad. Seats were 12.25/seat for 21.00 seats and it was Family Night so they also threw in a free Hot Dog and Dr. Pepper. The fans for Dallas are great and I know they are glad to now have something to cheer about. The game was also sold out.

I was the only Rocket fan (along with my wife and son) around dressed in my complete Rockets gear I had fun with the Dallas fans. I tell you I talked noise on every basket and I know they were ready for me to leave but it was all in fun. Even had a couple of fans to come up to me and congratulate me on the game.

The Mo Taylor dunk had me going crazy and I was telling all the Dallas fans that Bradley needs to get into the weight room. Everytime Mobley got the ball I was screaming layup or foul and was so sweet to see him hit layup after layup or pass to the man who would then pass to the open man. I would turn to Dallas fans ask them to pick their poison, playing Mobley one on one and it result in a layup or double team and allow a wide open shot for a teammate. I was very pleased with Mobley's decision tonight.

I was also pleased that Rudy benched Walt in favor of Moochie since this allows Steve to play the 2 guard and keeps Walt off the floor. I must admit though he did well shooting 4 of 4 but he was getting killed on defense.

Steve had a nice game as well almost getting a triple double and Shandon actually getting shots was a nice sight to see. Kenny Thomas was all over the place and everytime he shot a three it was like NO, NO, YESSSSSS.

The fans there were ribbing me and saying stuff during the game like "Do the Rockets have a winning record" and "Who is in first place" and "The Rockets won't even make the playoffs." And my responses were something like yeah they have a winning record against the Mavs, and after tonight the Mavs wont be in first, and since Dallas hasnt been in the playoffs since most of you were in elementary I wouldnt be talking. And of course I also mentioned about the two Rings for which one fan said it was only cause Jordan wasnt in the league. Then I responded, yeah but Dallas was.

All in All it was a great Saturday afternoon and a great 3 1/2 hour drive back to Houston and who knows I might go back on Mar 3 which is a Sat game as well, only it is at night. Just depends on how the Rox are doing at that point.

I know first hand how fun that can be because I was at game 7 in '95 in Phoenix (when Mario hit the three from the corner to win it). It can be really fun harassing the home fans, but then again I was a little nervous, only being 11 and all.

Good observations cato13, and its nice of you to proudly represent the Rockets in NorthEast Texas! I hope to do the same here in Southern Ontario when the Rocks come to the house that Vince built.
