I sure hope the Spurs win, but would be greatly surprised. It would be fantastic way to crown the Spurs rightfully as one of the all time dynasties.

Now if Duncan and Ginobili were only in their prime. It is painful to watch Duncan not get at least 30 plus points and 15 plus reounds every game against the woeful Heat centers like he would have done.

    Lebron vastly better than Leonard.

Duncan at 38 and Bosh a wash.

Wade in decline and Parker pretty close.

Ginobili and Diaw are better than 4th and 5th best players on Miami. Chalmers and I don't even know the other starter for Miami.

San Antonio has a better bench, but the difference in their favor is not as great as in the OKC series.

Anyone feel bad for OKC? So close, yet no cigar once again.

Not at all, they are dysfunctional in a similar way to the Rockets. Offensive hot-dogging and defensive-slacking. Both teams are poorly coached. And Brooks played Fisher almost the whole game and kept Butler on the bench. I am elated that they lost. They earned it and deserved it.

It's really strange to see the "Real Rocket fans don't xxxx" posts on here...as if there is a set of rules that dictate how someone should behave or think as fans of a team. That's the definition of egotistical right there.

I like the Spurs because beyond being a fan of any one team, I'm a fan of basketball. I go down to the gym/local court every 2 weeks to play ball because I love basketball...not just because I'm a fan of the Rockets. The Spurs currently play a beautiful brand of basketball that emphasizes team over all else. What's not to like?

If you don't want to cheer for a team because it clashes with your belief... more power to you and go ahead and cheer for the Heat. But please don't come on here and belittle other Rockets fans and try to force your idea of the "perfect fan" on others.

I was under the impression that the perfect fan looks something like tinman.

Please don't come to a Rockets site believing fanatics here should root for the Spurs. You want that go to Spurstalk.com and read their fans comments. Those fanatics over there would not root the Rockets.

The Rockets were 5-1 against the Heat and Spurs this season. With the 1 lostbeing in a very close game. Damn it...

Because the bounces the Heat got in the final 30 seconds of Game 6 are among the most fortunate you'll ever see, and if even one variable was different, the Spurs win that series. (There's also the matter of Duncan missing a point-blank layup to tie the game in the final seconds of Game 7.)

The Heat won fair and square, sure. But it's not about that. In terms of predictive value for this year, the unlikelihood of those factors has to be taken into account... especially now that home-court is flipped.

Cheering for the Spurs. Do it for Texas, its not like they hadn't already surpassed us as a franchise years ago. They win, Duncan, Ginobili, and Pop most likely retire and a dynasty is finally disassembled.

If you're cheering for the Heat, you disgust me.

This will be Lebron 5th NBA Finals (2-2) if Miami don't win this year ... Can we stop with the MJ comparison?

On the bolded, can't you say the same about Green's shooting, which broke a Finals series record?

Homecourt is flipped, and so is Wade's health.

2-3 in the Finals if they lost this year - would have been 1-4 if not for a miraculous shot by Ray Allen which saved his legacy imho.

This is a dumb sentiment. This is the NBA Dish. Not the Rockets dish. No reason to take things so seriously.
