Hakeem should have retired a Rocket. Was this a Hakeem/Les falling out? Or, was it more about playing time and role? I forget.

Actually he turned back the clock and almost carried the Rockets to the playoffs that year. What happened was the Rockets wanted to move on to the Stevie Franchise era but Hakeem was getting in the way with his stellar play. As previously mentioned they decided to pay Mo Taylor big money, along with Moochie and even Bullard got some money I believe. Everyone got paid except the best player in franchise history. We would have been better off by cutting everyone and giving Hakeem a max contract. We wouldn't have been any worse off. I think I said as much at the time.

Les should have given dream what he wanted. He did more for the rockets and city of Houston than every player after him combined, every player.

Buss would never let Kobe or magic go if it meant a couple horrible seasons.

So what happens if we sucked? We get a good draft pick and dream retires a rocket.
