We're just calling a spade a spade. He did get the bad end of 50/50 calls in this game.

Other times tho Lebron do get the calls favourably like most superstars....but this game he didn't. He got the Jeremy Lin treatment from the ref's :)

Lin would be MVP if not for the refs.

Just shows how protected LeBron is if people are up in arms after looking at that video.

Those were bad calls. But a lot of players got jobbed like that too. It's an outcry for LeBron fans because LeBron was not used to be treated like other players.

all those fouls on him were legit. He averages what 1 foul a game? goes to show what happens when the refs arent protecting you

Superstars get respect. It's always been that way. It was that way for Reggie Miller too. It's that way for non-superstars in other aspects, ie Hibbert and his "vertacality" fouls.

No comments on the refs last night?

The refs seemed to, on balance, help the Pacers a little last night. They only called one ridiculous Heat flop, when Bosh got a charge called on Hibbert, with zero contact.

Much much more important to the outcome was an entire half with the Pacers making one turnover on offense, sharing the basketball, playing aggressively, the Pacers getting 8 steals on defense in that half alone, while showing the most defensive intensity they have played with since about January.

Did the refs make Lebron shoot 3 air balls in the 4th quarter?

When they take the best player in the NBA out for a game what do you expect. He had 5 fouls; he had to play careful; he couldn't drive in like he normally would and couldn't defend like he normally would.

A little? The refs calling 4 illegitimate fouls on Lebron and forcing him to the bench is only "a little" help?

For Lebron's first foul, Paul George was tripped by Bosh, not Lebron.

For Lebron's second foul, he's retreating from George Hill, and George Hill creates contact by extending his right elbow. Given that the ball was in Hill's left hand and there was no further contact, it should've been an offensive foul or a no-call.

For Lebron's third foul, Paul George is clearly out of position. At the point of contact, look at the location of George's feet, and then look at the location of his body. It's definitely a blocking foul.

For Lebron's fifth foul, he was boxing out Stephenson from the ball. If anything, Stephenson should've been called for the foul b/c he pushed Lebron to the side.

The best player in the NBA took himself out of the game, by fouling 5 times, and being stunned at the audacity of refs not bowing to his royal ass.

Just because you're called for a foul doesn't mean you actually committed one.

As quirky and dysfunctional as the Pacers are, does anyone else think that they could still win it. They are one win away from coming home for game seven. Very unlikely, but possible.

All five Pacers starters were put in foul trouble. most at least twice, due to bogus calls in games 1-4, having to leave the game.

Yet I'm supposed to cry because for the first time in the series, a Heat player didn't get his normal superstar treatment on some 50-50 calls, and was so shook up about it that he had more air balls than field goals made, and more turnovers than field goals made?

    sorry, not sad.

You aren't supposed to cry at all. I just laugh when I see posts blaming the refs after a Miami victory, but when LeBron has 5 fouls in 13 minutes on questionable calls in an Indy win or Indy has a massive FT advantage in their other win it's "all fair". ;)

You are a fan and your team is playing. We get it. Plenty of us do the same in the same situation. Thanks for finally responding though.

What are you talking about 50-50 calls? I don't care for either team but some of those fouls were simply ridiculous, definitely nowhere near "50-50". I don't remember seeing anything as egregious in games 1-4...

This was the first game I can remember in a long time where the refs were this blatant in trying to extend the series by helping the weaker team, so the NBA can make more money.
