With Harden and Melo on the court, defense would still be like trying to contain water in a colander. But it would be fun to watch.
yes because in a year or so when we have to pay him he will go from way being way underpaid to way overpaid... and he isn't that great of a player, he is just a great value.
is this even serious question.....?? Chandler is nice player and has good offensive game, but hell yes I would give him up for an all-star player
Please add "Hell Yes!" to the poll option. Hmmm, this is a really tough one. In other words, would you trade for a 1st tier player if it meant getting rid of a 2nd tier player? Hmmm. Let me contemplate this for a week and get back to you.
Easily. Parsons is a great fit on this team right now because he makes less than a million bucks a season. Once the Rockets have to shell out 8 figures a year to keep him though, he'll go from underpaid to overpaid. Besides, the Rockets can find a replacement for him. All they need from the 3 if they had Howard, Harden, and Love on the team is someone who can play solid perimeter D, finish in transition, and knock down open 3s. In other words, what they once had with Shane Battier(or Mario Elie if we go even further back).
Yes, and try to fill the void with a Corey Brewer type and hire a defensive minded coach like Mario Elie to fill Kelvin Sampson shoes! Lin, Asik, Parsons, and #1 pick for Love... Done Deal Records!!!
Because it is much more likely the offers are much worse and you eliminate all the teams like Boston and Sacramento who are truly taking big risks in hoping to resign him and maybe for sure fire playoff teams like GSW who would have to give up big time rotation players without assurance he would sign an extension. They'd also lose the chance to add picks in this 2014 draft, which is one of the best in the last 15 years. Plus they owe Phoenix their 2015 1st round pick unless it falls in the top 12, so if they are pretty damn convinced they are losing Love, it makes sense to go into rebuild and assure they end up in that top 12 and not lose that pick by being decent with Love for 4.5 months.
Can't believe 10% of people are voting no. I like Parsons and as a value contract he is nearly unbeatable. But he is not a piece that will take you to the next level in a packed West. He won't put you over the top vs. Paul and the Clips, Duncan and the Spurs, KD and the Thunder, LMA and the Blazers. These are all loaded teams. I'd trade him in a heartbeat for Melo or Love. Those are tremendous talent upgrades.
I'm not a fan of Love at all, but come on. If you have the chance to get him for the asking price of Parsons + filler + possible draft picks then you do the deal.
