Are you asking whether you owned the Spurs whether you'd trade for ownership of an NFL team? I'm pretty sure every NFL team is worth more than the Spurs so isn't it a no brainer?
Sigh. It's a simple question. As a fan would you rather have an NFL team vs your NBA team Don't complicate the question
UH WTF does this have to do w/Rockets fans? Isn't that the type of question that should be put in a Spurs forum as opposed to a Houston one? They'd be the ones best equipped to answer whether they would prefer having an NFL team in their city year round(No Cowboys) or the Spurs.
i think the question is, "IF you were a Spurs fan, would you trade your Spurs franchise to get an NFL one in town." The hard part is that we have to put ourselves in the shoes of a Spurs fan (tough), a San Antonio native (tough), AND a 1-sport town native (*really* tough for a Houstonian) to answer the question. But I tried anyway and went with no. I wouldn't want to give up a ton of championships and a super successful NBA franchise, even for the NFL. Then again, this is a Rockets/basketball forum..
btw: this is a rhetorical question. Do any of you Spurs fans know what "rhetorical" means? The San Antonio Express asked this question on their website four years ago. Do you wanna know how the answer played out on San Antonio's newspaper website? I can tell you. I'm just interested in knowing how the answer plays out here.
But you can trade the Spurs for an NFL team, then sell the NFL team and buy another small market NBA team and pocket the difference. Hell, you can maybe buy the Clippers with the money you sell the NFL franchise for and then cash in on a $3B cable deal and attend my games in LA vs San Antonio. If I couldn't make these transactions, I would do whatever it takes to move the Spurs out of San Antonio and to a reasonable market.
Here's another question for you from six years ago. Who is the most important person in the Spurs franchise? Where do you think Tim Duncan ranked on the San Antonio Express website with 20,000 votes? 1, 2, or 3? this is not a trick question.
Robinson was not an option...and he was long retired. The answers where only active members of the franchise But you are right. The San Antonio fans ranked Duncan 4th. Parker was 5th
nah...i want the stupid Spurs fans to tell you how much the city wants an NFL team vs the NBA. Me telling you is too easy.
