    i'd love to gain 30lbs in a week by trying the guatemal dish. I wonder if they use real plantains though or something created in a lab.

    I've had 6-7 of these items. They weren't anywhere near as tasty as they appear in the video. Still, the quality of McDonalds overseas is better i.e. better beef patties, fresher vegetables, cleaner restaurants, etc.

    This is probably even less a function of adhering to local cuisine than just doing insane, localized market and vendor research. And why places like Burger King and Wendy's will probably never surpass them market-wise, it's too easy to make hundreds of millions doing the same thing and just maxing out the ad dollars and hardballing suppliers than to commit years, brains and capital to specializing the brand and experience.

    Why don't they do onion rings here, that seems like it would sell decently. They have had the Mclobster in New England locations.
