I feel like his defense took a step back this season. Maybe people were challenging him less but it seems like he was picking far less pockets and blocking less shots.
I think that in that one game against OKC, Russell Westbrook really got into his head. More significantly though...it's a long season, and for seventy games Bev was playing 35 plus minutes every game. Come the end of the season, and playoff time, Bev, Harden and Parsons were all worn down with fatigue and injuries. McHale needs to trust his other players more.
I cant believe but think Bev was really hurting during the Portland series...a healthy Beverley doesnt allow Lillard to go off like that.
Mario Elie, Jerome Williams... It's a hand-me-down generic nickname. Patrick Beverley deserves better.
