I thought the window closed with Allen's three. I'm surprised they're back and now wouldn't be surprised if they won.

Hard to believe once the Spurs were a garbage franchise and with Pop and Timmy they're on the verge of 5 titles...

Someone could've made this thread 4-5 years ago. Crazy.

I would LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE to see Miami beat the Spurs AGAIN.

How crushing would that be for the Spurs???

I would rather see Lebron and Company 3-peat, than to see the Spurs get revenge/5th 'ship.

There are "this is their last great run" talks every year. This team doesn't rely on athleticsm, the way the are playing utilizes ball-iq and shooting, those things don't go away with age.

I think this year is their best chance at one more ring. After that, they'll remain relevant for a few more years, but it will be really tough for their big three to stay this healthy again through the entire postseason.

They could keep going for another 3 years. All their contracts expire in another year so reward parker with a big contract, sign manu and td to bargain deals and they still will have room for a major free agent or two. Any star player who's serious about winning would want to join them.

It's an annual ritual here someone starting a thread about the Spurs being too old... except that it usually happens in the regular season.

The Duncan-Popovich alliance never played by the rules in terms of "THE WINDOW". Their window was supposed to be closing 7 years ago. My general policy since 2010 is to disregard all "too old" talk and to consider them a title contender indefinitely until one of those two men leaves the team - and even though they haven't won in years, they've been in the race every time. So it's been a perfectly valid policy.

They're in a very good position to win this year.

The only players they have on their books for the 2016 free agency period are Splitter, Leonard and Cory Joseph. They'll obviously have more salary than that, but if they manage it right, they'll be a contender for Durant and possibly another free agent. San Antonio is close to Austin, he obviously doesn't care about being in a small market or not, they have a proven organization, etc. I can almost see it now, unfortunately.

The window closes when Tim Duncan leaves, but like we all know, you can't count the Spurs out, because they always adjust and reload. With Popovich's ability to turn poop into gold, coupled with the Spurs' scouting and smart free agent signings, we might see more George Hills for Kawhi Leonards in the near future.

Still baffles me how anyone here actually wants Miami to win. Especially over a Texas team. SA is a great organization .

So you're perplexed that a Rocket fan would NOT want success for a SW division rival?.....................mmmkay.

F SA, F Dallas, F Memphis and F NO. F the rest of the league. They are ALL enemies.

SA being a great organization is irrelevant. The fact that they are in Texans means NOTHING. I am a fan of the HOUSTON Rockets, not the Texas Rockets.

I can't begin to tell you how much I hate the Spurs - especially how their big 3 act soooooo surprised when they get called for a foul. I hate how TD claps - it is so incredibly goofy. I hate how he always walks with his head and shoulders slumped down-looking at the ground. I hate how Manure flops. I love that the Rockets swept them and hope they do it again. Most of all, I hope for postseason success against them in the future. Born and raised in TX and I hate ALL the other TEXAS teams.

    Go Miami.

So you hate a respectable organization like San Antonio and love a douchebag organization like Miami. At least SacTown admits that he just enjoys d-bag things. You on the other hand make very little sense.
