A better offense leads to a better defense and vice-versa. Having a more efficient offense reduces turnovers and fast-break points. Keep in mind our defense was also hurt by poor defensive rebounding. Kevin Love/Dwight will be a defensive rebounding machine and Love's shooting threat opens up more dimensions to the offense. Having Howard/Asik both in the paint is terrible for players like Harden and Lin that love to penetrate.

Not enough space between Love and Melo if you ask me. Love will help us so much on the boards and is much younger than Melo in terms of age and minutes played.

Lol one person actually voted for D-Will. Probably a relative or someone who really hates Jerry Sloan.

    No, he is not.
Love is easily the better offensive player of the two and puts up amazing stats but I contend that Jones, as young and inexperienced as he is, is already the better defender.
And I know that's really saying something.

Melo or Rondo easily. But with Melo, Harden might be expendable. At this point, Melo's a better player than James. If we get Rondo it'll balance our roster out better.

But having Love without a true point guard is pointless. You'd have Dwight, Love & Harden but absolute no cohesiveness on offense.

Agreed. I would be legitimately upset if we got strapped with Williams and his contact and effectively kill our chances with Dwight in town. I hope we don't get desperate and add him.

    Love by miles and miles.

Rondo needs to dominate the ball to thrive, and his atrocious shooting from deep makes him a dubious fit with Harden and Howard.

Melo is a selfish ball dominator with questionable scoring efficiency. Fool's Gold franchise guy.

    Lulz at Deron Williams.

I love Parsons, but I wouldn't even blink at the notion of offering the Wolves Parsons, Asik, this year's first and second and our 2016 first.

After this season I dont understand the Melo hate at all.....You guys know to win the title we are going to have to go through LeBron right? LeBron cannot guard Carmelo, he's struggled agaist him since Carmelo was back in Denver. Carmelo is not a Superb defender, but he can lock people up when he wants to, the opposing player also has to guard this offensive juggernaut and cant rest on defense, or Melo will light them up.

Right now I think Melo is on Win mode. Another Closer on the floor like Carmelo is never a bad thing as well.

Melo is more of a 4th quarter defender than Harden (i remember once his drtg improved by something stupid like 30 in the 4th), perhaps both players requiring less work on the offensive end will help translate, but probably not :p

    Heart says Rondo.
Head says Love, with Melo ranked just slightly below him.
    Ass says DWill.

Ultimately will be screaming like a little girl if we get any of Rondo, Love, or Melo.

Rondo would instill some much needed toughness in this team filled with mentally weak players.

    Rondo
    Melo
    Love

Not much of a distance between the three, I think any of them would make us title contenders.

Love is last because Jones isn't near his prime yet and was great for us in stretches.

Melo is 2nd because Parsons has great tools and with good coaching can be a defensive guy we need.

Rondo is first because he fills our biggest need IMO: PG.

Jones was great for us in stretches, but usually it was against bad teams. His defense and rebounding is so poor and his offense doesn't remotely make up for it against good teams. His jumpshot was barely existent and it clearly hurt our halfcourt offense not having a stretch 4.

We need to stop falling in love with our role players like Jones and Parsons. Cannot believe you're using Jones as a reason to not rank him above the rest.

Rondo would be nice but his inability to shoot at all is a huge red flag for a Rockets team that already struggles in crunch time.

Melo would be nice but is more redundant to Harden than Love. Love is younger in terms of age and more importantly in minutes (Melo has played TWICE the amount of seasons as Love).

Where is Harden in this equation? If Harden isn't scoring he's a net negative because of how bad he is on the defensive end. Melo and Harden are both ball dominant and asking Melo to be our starting 4 could be damaging to a guy who's already racked up tons of NBA miles.

Ideally I think Morey not only wants to win, but win while still being young. Kevin Love accomplishes that goal a lot more than Anthony.

That's what I've said for awhile. Situational basketball. Rondo gets everyone good shots and delivers the ball where and when needed. Despite his lack of 3 point shot, his mid range shot is really good. Nobody ever brings up tony parker 3 ball as a minus. He dominates the game and is a proven playoff performer. I like the fact he's a bit of a hard ass. Dennis Johnson was the same and he won rings with mchale, bird, and company. I think having too many friendly types isn't a good thing.wometimes your relationship can get in the way of being critical when needed. If they have to move parson to get rondo, then they could sign Ariza to start and backup the 2/3 with pierce.
