Deron is reminding me of Baron Davis a little bit: Big strong PGs whose bodies fail them and don't have enough new tricks to make up for it. Still capable of brilliance at times, but you can't count on them anymore.

Good points. As much as the Rockets run iso's, Dwill currently would not be a good fit here. But there is something to say about changing philosophies. Coaches tend to change their style in regards to the personnel they have. Adleman did it with Yao and Tmac. Maybe Mchale can do it with Dwill. I am salivating at the idea of pick and rolls with Dwill.

Rockets already have the parts for the most dominant pick and roll in the game with Harden and Dwight. You smoking a pipe dream if you believe McFail will ever try to deviate from iso ball.

I'd take D. Will if the Nets pick up 75% off his contract.

Guy can help this team, no doubt, but for that kind of money I don't think so.

I'll take Rondo over DWill, even though Rondo doesn't fit our style of play.

Williams is washed up. I think our top targets should be Rondo and Lowry.

So D-Will has a history of getting his coaches fired?

    Hmmm.............

I think it makes the Rockets better - Asik is redundant, and Lin is not half the player of DWill - the contract is a concern for sure - but I am not convinced we will get another star, and would consider rolling the dice.

I would agree with that - if we can get Lowry than I would RATHER do that, TBH.

I don't understand why people think Rondo doesn't fit our system. He's an elite playmaker, consistently leading the league in assists. He's an elite defender and a floor general. He's not a good perimeter shooter but we're not really going to ask him to shoot a lot with D12 and JH and possibly CP in the lineup.

He's like a better version of PB and would fit our system like a glove IMO.
You can't teach passion and grit, and our team definitely needs that. He's much better than DWill at this point in their careers and as good as Lowry, just not as good of a shooter.

No thanks. Would rather just keep Lin. DW was horrible.

Lol.. if we make that trade. We deserve YEARS of 1st or 2nd round mediocrity. Minimum 3 years. Bye bye flexibility, but no chance at sniffing a championship. We would be brooklyn's best friend LOL. Bail them out of the Net's "all-in" bet they did this year with PP, KG, AK47 by mortgaging 5 years of their future.

Dwight's window will be closed in 3 years. Back to rebuilding mode for us, as usual.

Lin Haters be careful what you wish for.
