I haven't gotten it yet. It's going to go to pay off debt though.

There was a refund?? It's an advance on your tax refund on the next filing. Your talking about the last time there was a check sent out, right? That $300? It was taken out of our "refund" when we filed our taxes that year.

The $400 per child families with children are going to get is taken out of the child tax credit increase you would get for your '03 filing. This one is a tax cut given to you in advance. I'm glad to get it... just don't think you'll have a $1000 per child credit when you file. It'll be $600 because you've already gotten the $400. (for those who qualify)

The $300 that was sent out before wasn't the same type of refund, as I remember it, and was very misrepresented at the time. A lot of people were shocked when they filed for that year that their refund checks were docked $300 bucks.

This is one part of the tax bill that may be benificial towards "jump-starting" the economy. The rest of it is going to just blow up the deficit, imo. Like his last tax cut.

You continue to have zero credibility with regard to financial or economic matters. Statements like this only reinforce this widely held belief.

Let's see...either we parrot the Bush Administration's line on the tax cuts, or we get berated by T_J regarding his opinion of our knowledge of economics.

    Decisions, decisions......

What tax refund. I haven't had a tax refund since I finished school. I usually have to write a 2-4 thousand dollar check on april 15.

And you continue to reinforce the widely held belief that you are an a$$. But that's your problem, not mine.

55% applying their refund to their debts----I wish Bush thought this way, then that 55% could spend their money on something they enjoy.

    Amen, brother.

So what did I do with my $600 "refund"? I kept it, and sent it back the next year with my taxes....which were exactly $600 more, coincidentally.

And don't expect this new "tax cut" to help either. If you make less than $18,000, you get nothing. Not a dime.
