Kerry Wood is looking un-hittable. Im wont go as far to say he will pitch a no-hitter but I'll be surprised if the astros score today

If nothing else, I'm glad to have Jeff Kent on the team because he can hit Kerry Wood. Who knows or cares why, but he's a career .500 hitter vs Wood, and he already has 2 hits today. Man, in the past, it seems the 'Stros hitters are totally guessing up there, without much hope at all of getting a hit. Obviously, that's a huge credit to Wood as well, but it does a lot to back up the notion that the Stros never perform against good pitchers. I only hope we can make the playoffs and dispell that notion finally.

What's with this cubs series and bringing out the best of our starting pitchers? The last two games have had very good pitching. Including this game....

All of a sudden it's a game again.. Sosa gets a double, then Karros hits a 2 run homer.

bottom of 7th, only 1 out. 5-3 Astros.

I think I would have left Robertson in there.

I felt the same way, but now that Berkman has given us a bigger gap, I feel better. Ricky Stone did not have much to give today. Saarloos is doing alright.

    Edit:

WOOOO Ensberg hits a 2 run bomb!!!!

    9-3 Astros!!! :D

Well, the Astros now have 4 quality starters.

    Oswalt, Miller, Redding and Robertson.

With the bullpen of doom and destruction following them, and a loaded offense.

I have 3 words for the rest of the NL Central.

    "Bring it b****es!"

I agree with you there, Ensberg is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
Williams should play him everyday:mad: . He is very clutch.

    GO ENSBERG!

An above average road trip against tuff divisional opponents. I'll definitely take it.

    Go Astros!! :)

I don't know why they took Robertson out. He'd been throwing a four-hitter, and with a four run lead I don't see giving up a double as that big of a problem.

Looks like RM95 and Major bring us luck at Wrigley; I blame yesterday's loss on them. :)

Yup, and honestly, we'll happily take the loss on Saturday since we didn't have to sit through 16 innings of cold ass weather. We'll make up that game soon enough.

    deepellumrocket,

Sorry we didn't make it by. Hope you had as big a blast as we did.
