It's not Godzilla without it being Japanese and having subtitles.

It's doing pretty well on Rottentomatoes.

I'm jonesin' for GODZILLA!! Can't wait, but I must. Maybe there's a midnight showing at my local Drafthouse tonight. I will check.

Crap. The only 3D showing tonight (it's already at the Drafthouse!) was at 7pm. I missed it! :-(-

Phenomenal visuals. Good concept. Didn't like how so much of the movie was focused on an incredibly lame and one-dimensional Aaron Taylor-Johnson "I love my family" storyline.

Gojira and few other Godzilla films, sometimes he doesn't appear until the last quarter of the movie.

Could've been worse... could've been Shia Lebouf... in Hollywood's continued effort to make him the next big action movie lead...

Saw it last night. Human side is pretty weak and clichéd. Cranston and Binoche are in it for about a cup of coffee and the rest is Taylor which is so so but passable. The monster on monster action though is pretty impressive and fun, it’s pretty close on scale with Pacific Rim but with some very Godzilla moments. I thought it was a solid B+

I gave it a B+ as well, although I enjoyed it more than Pacific Rim. Once Muto and Godzilla go at it, you get to see some amazing visuals/ the best I've seen this year. If you can go see it at Imax or the biggest screen possible.

If there was character development, that would be great.

Cloverfield pulled the human element off really well, this movie didn't at all.

Thankfully, the visual effects were incredible and the action scenes were fantastic.

I agree the people were really underdeveloped and it doesn't help that Aaron is given the the bulk of the acting load. Still that part of the movie isn't that bad to where it's unwatchable, just don't expect much.

Godzilla himself had plenty of character development I thought.

They should just put Bryan Cranston in a new drug dealing AMC show. I don't want to see him battle Godzilla. I want to see him manufacturer and deal. He was born to play roles like that. All these bit roles in "Argo" and in this film are nice and all...but we need to see his evil acting side. Damn you, Godzilla!

Funny you should say that, Cranston played almost the exact same character in BB. I think he might be typecast now playing either a science teacher or a scientist.
