Sources: Rockets brass planning to discuss bringing in Mike Brown as an assistant to help defensive

If cyberx as an official unofficial leak, he will not compromise any ongoing negotiation. I just took this as another Morey discard idea, similar to the Parsons package for Rondo which was apparently never seriously considered.

The kernels of truth are that they need (1) a defensive specialist; (2) a proven winner at the NBA level; and would probably like (3) a guy coming out of the Spurs system who might be able to upgrade the Rockets in that much needed way.

 

Translation: Mike Brown gets paid regardless and does not want to be an assistant coach. It has NOTHING to do with the Rockets.
