Doc not even giving CP3 credit for his D on Durant saying Durant just missed shots

Why can't we have a coach like this!? aghhh. McHale would probably have Paul on Durant the rest of the series

One thing Mchale certainly does understand is that sometimes people just miss shots, and sometimes they just make them.

It's a lot of the fans that don't get it.

Everyone is smashing Westbrook for that last shot, but once he had the ball in his hands everyone knew he was going to shoot it...& he's made it in the past. Thabo Sefolosha should've passed it ahead to Durant, who was wide open for either a shot or drive to the basket.

100% wrong. Watched the game and I can tell you that the one and only one to blame is coach Brooks and it has been a problem for a while.

Doc Rivers complety owned Brooks last night not only with defense, but first and foremost with offense. He showed why he is probably 2nd best active coach and why Brooks may even get fired when the season ends.

Sure, Durant has to take some of the blame too. Why post up a guy 20 ft from the basket, and I don't care how tall he is. Durant needs to develop a post game or he's gonna struggle with shorter, quicker guards, plain and simple.

But what the Thunder showed offensivly last night was completly pathetic. Remember 2007 playoffs? Remember Rockets with home court adventage over Jazz? Remember our team being fairly better that the j*zz that year with Yao and Tracy? Remember the outcome?

I actually think those 2 situations are pretty similar. Good talent and potential but still no results as the offense sticks in half court. That year it was Jeff Van Gundy's fault (see my nickname) and Brooks is filling his shoes...

Fairly better by what measure? The Rockets won one more game than the Jazz that season.

Can't speak for him. But our stars were better than their stars. The conventional wisdom is that whoever has the best player wins.

Conventional wisdom is not always right, of course. JVG's teams were much more disciplined than the current Thunder, on the defensive end. But JVG did not know how to maximize two of the top offensive players we had, somewhat similar to the Thunder's offense.

To me, the Thunder is similar to the current Rockets, more so than the JVG Rockets. The current Rockets have good talents (not as good as the Thunder but still quite good). Both the Thunder and the Rockets could be more dominant if they played smarter.

That was my thought too, but they have no chance of beating the Spurs playing like they are now.

The bonehead plays were contagious at that point. There was only about a 3 second difference between the shot clock and the game clock on the Clippers last possession. The fact that the Thunder were not fouling was stupid because all the Clippers needed to do is run the shot clock down to almost 0 and then gun a long three pointer which would drop another 2 seconds and leave OKC with nothing on the clock. But of course the Clippers matched OKC's incompetence by shooting with 7 seconds on the clock giving OKC this final opportunity. Westbrook did get a good shot and the Clippers were lucky that it didn't go in.

It was a few years ago that I commented to my friend that KD is playing himself out of the Kobe/LeBron conversation because he was being neutralised by a PG by the name of Jason Kidd.

Seems it's not a one off occasion being stopped by a much shorter player.

That is exactly what I was thinking. You had the feeling two best players in that series were on our side, yet we still came up short. Jeff could not get McGrady any open looks and he had no idea how to solve Okur fronting Yao. And of course we had home court adventage and led 2-0 if i remember corectly.

OKC is still hungover from 2 days ago. No chemistry whatsoever. It's early but this could be another beat-down.

OKC may be better off losing this series and firing Brooks as opposed to making it to the finals and being crushed again by the Heat. No more wasted seasons with an incompetent coach. If they keep Brooks OKC fans will feel the same as Houston fans do right now.

Agreed on the wasted seasons. It's a shame.

Clippers totally lost their edge with CP3 on the bench. Glen Davis' utter stupidity contributed to the problem.
