Houston is the schizophrenic fan capital of the world... it's always an excuse and not that our team played mediocre for a lot of the series and has NEVER EVER been able to close.

The only thing that actually didn't happen was Parsons keeping up with Lillard, not allowing him to catch and shoot. It was a phenomenal play that demonstrated just how unprepared we are at the end of games.

You can go to YouTube and watch the video and the shotclock. The clock doesn't start until he is literally about to release the ball.

    The End.

    Move on.

Don't rely on a gif...press start and pause! Look at the actual time and don't rely on your eyes to guess.

It's that Damn Marino's fault. Everybody knows "laces out"! Seriously.

.9 second is on the clock
and you have to add in human reaction time (which is .15-.30 second) as well
the clock wont start until the ref hit the switch
unless they have a new smart ball that can start the clock when someone touch it

To the best of my knowledge the Refs don't actually start the clock, it's a sideline guy who works for the Blazers. The refs whistle does stop the clock, but not start it. With that said, it never should have come down to the final shot. When you're team is facing a game 6 elimination you need to win by 20, not 2.

I count .3 from the time he caught the ball until the time the clock started, but i also counted .3 left on the clock when the ball was out of his hands.

Wouldn't Portland fans be equally as upset if the clock guy had STARTED the clock BEFORE he even touched it? Would have burned the clock before he even got in the air.

But there is NO WAY that shot is good without an assist from the clock keeper.
Stalled the clock until AFTER he touched it, took 2 steps, and jumped in the air.
Bought him all the time he needed.

BIG assist to Clock Guy! He should be the runner up for MVP in Portland.
He averted Game 7 in Houston.
But kudos to Lillard for making the shot.

The funny thing is, on the other end the shot clock goes off before we even touch the ball.

The last play played out exactly as McHale drew it up.

'Let's give Lillard a wide-open 3 and see if he can hit it'.

He got it off on time. Yes we got hosed a lot in this series but blame the Rockets for allowing themselves to get hosed. In each game they were leading and the 4th and they choked pimpn.

    And that is the bottom-line
