A few of the guys in my chapter were planning on going and seeing it together- unfortunately- we'll all be out of school when it comes out.
I absolutely HATE trailers like that. It's so incredibly stupid. Like you said, you literally know most of what happens during the flick before you walk into the theatre. I'll be seeing this, but won't watch any trailers. Thanks for the heads-up!
I'm always hungry for good new comedies, but this one didn't really deliver. I mean, i laughed a bit, but not as much as I was expecting. Didn't help that the trailers spoiled a lot of things. Certainly not a bad one perse, just mediocre.
I thought this was really meh. My favorite thing about it is that there wasn't a forced sappy ending. It kinda went the opposite of most movies of this ilk, I thought the start was really slow, while the middle 50% very strong, and the ending pretty good. Definitely got some good laughs, but not as many as I expected. Kinda surprised this has 74% fresh on RT.
This was better than I originally expected, but after seeing so much positive buzz, I went, and had a surprisingly good time. It's funny but also has more of a heart than expected, kind of like the unexpected heart of 21 Jump Street. That said, this movie commits a sin, which Spider Man 2 also committed: putting scenes in the trailers which did not appear in the movie. I don't like that, I think it's dishonest and unethical as a business practice. Now I know movies sometimes are still being edited right up until the last minute, but if the marketing people are not 100% SURE a scene is going to be in the movie, then it should NOT be in the trailer. I'm not going to say what the scenes are, but I am curious if anyone else noticed this for these two movies?
It was alright. I'm not really into comedies that overuse the F bomb. Normal adults are able to get through 5 sentences without 25 f bombs. It's so over saturated that it pulls away from the effect. Some of the back and forth was pretty good though. Can relate with a young child!
Was actually disappointed when I walked out. Thought it was going to be hilarious. There were laughs here and there, but nowhere near the level I thought there would be. Even the cinema wasn't laughing that loud or often. Definitely shouldn't have shown the airbags in the trailer. One of the funniest parts of the movie. I don't know if Seth Rogen brought it down. I just don't find that guy as funny as the majority of people do.
It was alright, had some pretty funny moments. But nothing special....his other recent flicks are much better. Trailers ruined a lot of the funny moments, damn you embedded ads!
4/10 meh. Even though a lot of the Greek stuff was relatable and brought back dem college feels, it wasn't as funny as I hoped after reading the good reviews ITT. Guess I should've tempered my expectations after seeing this:

Movie was mildly disappointing for me. The trailers were too good but they showed all of the good jokes from the movie.
