I lived in Houston for a while but like many, I really became interested in the Rockets during the Olajuwon championship years. Olajuwon was just such an amazing player and that team was likable.

To be honest, the team doesn't interest me as much as it is now. It's harder to enjoy a team that doesn't play smart team ball, doesn't have a coach that can rein in its players, has the majority of discussions centered around one bench player, and has a superstar that doesn't play D. I'd rather follow the Suns or Spurs or even Atlanta. But ultimately, I come back and check this forum simply because Clutchfans is a decent sports forum as far as sports forums go. Over the years, I really think CF has kept me talking about Rockets basketball.

How about you? Poll is anonymous.

I don't think Clutch will ever shutdown Clutchfans because Clutch City is forever

It's not a serious question. Just a hypothetical.

Now the question is if the Rockets stop existing would you still go to Clutchfans?

The Olajuwon era will always have a special place in my heart for obvious reasons. I must admit, especially after the latest playoff debacle and the organization thumbing their nose at the fans by keeping "coach" McHale, I'm not as emotionally invested in the Rox at this point. Their current brand of basketball is frustrating to watch and has no real chance of going anywhere. I love sports so I enjoy posting on here to converse about sports in general but the current Rox don't hold the special place in my heart like they use to.

What if the Rockets move and CF shuts down?

    Would you still follow Lin?

If you stop following a team because a forum closed, you were never a fan anyway.

Hell no. Even though you can find a lot of information about the Rockets here, I wouldn't care if it gets shut down. Still gonna be a Rockets fan and watch all the games regardless.

Sometimes this site drives me crazy with the raving lunacy of some fans, so I'd be okay if it weren't around lol. I do visit the site, however, because it does always seem to have the latest Rocket's news which I appreciate.

I wouldn't completely stop following the Rockets if CF shut down, but I wouldn't be following the team as closely. I'll always be a Rockets fan.

what irritates the most is so called rockets fans allegedly who don't torture themselves with astros and texans. be a man! take the pain of supporting all your houston teams equally. They're getting off easy by not following the astros.

what if the nba shut down? would people still follow mchale?
