I am really glad the Spurs destroyed the Blazers... twice! This just tells me the Rockets were able stay close to a team that is a kind of a mismatch for them. I mean, the Blazers strengths are at PG and PF... The Rockets weaknesses are at PG and PF. Both Lillard and Aldridge could rest on defense and relax as both Beverley and Jones aren't particularly keen on offense. The reason the Spurs are manhandling the Blazers is because Lilliard and Aldridge are both exerting so much energy defensively and struggling to get anything going. The Spurs move the ball amazingly and every single player understands their role.

Yes, but more because of wanting the Spurs to avenge last years Finals loss against the Heat.

Obviously if they were playing the Rockets now i'd be against them, but I was most definitely pulling for the Spurs in the finals last year and will be pulling for them again. I think they're even better than last year

3 games in a row of the Blazers being blown out. This just further solidifies in my mind that we do not need a "3rd superstar." We just need a combination of role players and vets who fit with our current pieces and we need to continue to accrue that experience of playing together. We also need a new head coach but...that's another issue.
