They'll either cut him or he'll leave as a FA, either way, no one is trading for him.

Maybe a trade is still in the works, and he's just worth substantially less than most of us believed?

I think they just have a cap on what they are willing to pay him in free agency, and if someone else offers more, they now have the insurance to let him walk.

I would think that if a trade were going to happen, it already would have.

We'll probably end up with like a Brett Smith in the 5th or something.

QB of the future! The next BRETT Favre. :p

I tend to agree except for the whole fact that New England just drafted their 3rd QB only a few hours ago. I think it would be difficult from NE's perspective to trade away Mallet until you had squirreled away a replacement. The talks may just now be beginning, for all we know. I'd bet against it, but I won't feel 100% confident Mallet won't be moved until OTAs begin. (Late May)

It ought to be a conditional 2015 pick that moves dependent on Mallets performance, and that should be the number of snaps taken. That's how I would do it.

No offfense.. I liked Keenum, and I was pulling for him. However 0-8 is still 0-8

Hey I wanted them to draft Carr with the 2nd round pick. I am just saying Keenum will have a fresh start

You shouldn't judge individual players based on team stats, especially when that team is in full meltdown mode after losing their first and second string RB, alienating their #1 WR, and their O line couldn't block for even a fraction of a second.

Keenum might amount to nothing, but it won't be because of the team record at the end of a failed year.

If you believed he was worth a 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th or a conditional 7th, you overvalued that knucklehead. He's got a big time arm, but he has never been anything less than a hothead, and BOB doesn't have the stones to overthrow Bob, and Bob says no to guys like Mallett
