Of course I would. Getting Hill would kill all our sf woes. Even if he doesnt play this year, acquiring him would make us instant contenders the minute he steps on the floor.

A team with Francis, Mo, Mobley, and Hill....

    UNstoppable.

Hill for Dream? In your dreams......Why would orlando want hakeem with his possibilities of retiring? It would be nice to see hill in houston but i doubt it would happen. So now there is a big MO bandwagon? I dont see why you guys like him. Mo's like a flower, in some games he blossoms for 20 points and 10 rebounds and thats great numbers. But on days where he dont bloomthe rockets usually lose. rockets need a tree that will put up a double-double each and every night.Shandon is good, but not great. Rockets need to let dream, mo and shandon go. Sign webber and start mobley.Maybe francis can play some 2 and give mobley a shot at the 3 position, while starting Mooch at pg. Add in a Webber with a healthy Cato and you got a great contender right there. And about Jackson, he is not that good. He had a lucky game against the rocks. But if the rockets could get hughes, that would be something. When is Vince a Free agent?

IMO it is too early desperatly want Marc Jackson. last summer were many teams hot about John Amaechi, who played allmost well, but if he will be free agent next summer, has he so many wanters next year. he cant step out, 'cause McGrady takes all game himself. in GS Jackson gets PT and makes some good games but better we wait and see can he holg starting position, when Dampier returns.

IMO it is too early desperatly want Marc Jackson. last summer were many teams hot about John Amaechi, who played allmost well, but if he will be free agent next summer, has he so many wanters next year

Amechi averaged 10.5ppg, 3.3 reb/game, .46 blk/game and shot 43% from the floor last year. He started 53 games and averaged 11.3 ppg and 3.3 reb/game in those starts. Amechi's career high rebounding game is 10.

Since moving into the starting lineup this year, Jackson is averaging 19.6ppg, 9.4 reb/game, 1.5 blk/game and is shooting 58% from the floor. In 8 games, he's already had two 13 rebound games.

Amechi's numbers aren't in the same league as the ones that Jackson is putting up as a starter. Other than Shaq, what center is putting up better numbers than Jackson?

If Jackson continues to post anything close to those numbers, he's the runaway winner of the rookie of the year.

Teams were interested in signing Amechi for their middle class exception ($2.5M) last year. Jackson will get much better offers than that this offseason.

The thing to remember is that not many other teams are going to be under the cap either, and Sacramento will definitely wbe interested in a sign and trade if they are going to lose Webber

    davo,

If you believe the cap numbers on realGM, then there will be 10 teams that have the possibility of having $5M or more cap space next off season. Of those 10, 7 of them could have in excess of $10M available.
    http://www.realgm.com/capspace2.php

There are another 5 that can be below the cap, but listed as "technically over the cap", because the amount that they are under the cap is less than the exceptions that they posess.

In all, 15 teams have the ability to be under the cap next off season to some degree.

    davo,

I like your page. A couple of suggestions (of course w/ the qualifer of "I like your page". [IMG]), Bryce Drew is gone so his $$$ doesn't count.

Does anyone know about Maloney's status against the Rockets? Why don't some of those chronicle bums research salary cap issues... it'd be better than the crap they write about now.

I agree that CWebb is the only real free agent this summer, but there isn't a chance in hell the Rockets land that fish. Webber's been on a rebuilding team every year he's played in the NBA. Why would he dump either the already rebuilt Kings or a loaded Knicks team for Houston? Introduce some logic into the equasion, and then maybe I'll start helping to figure out which number will appear on CWebb's Rockets jersey.
