...when Blake Bortles went 3rd overall. Believed he was 3rd QB on board for both Jax and Cleveland and that they had a strong chance to trade up for him later in draft.
Based on what they said about all the QBs being similar or "close" to each other...it makes me think that they really didnt expect the other QBs to drop so far...
I think everyone was a little surprised Bortles went #3. They probably wish they had made the deal that the Browns made.
How the heck did Houston think they know what the Jacksonville and Cleveland boards looked like.. lol. The Jags head coach is out of Seattle. He knows how important it is to get a quarterback and he knows he can get defensive players in later rounds and on the free agent market like Seattle does. I don't believe O'Brien has as much control of this draft as people have said.
I wonder if Houston sees any value in Kirk Cousins. With his 2 years learning the NFL-way and his 5 or 6 games of game experience, I think he would fit well with the Houston offense. Cousins vs RGIII opening day!
Yeah let's get another QB that wasn't good enough to start on his current team and hope to win a Super Bowl with him. Actually just give him 12 million guaranteed his first year as wrll
sources saying I found this thread funny and understood the sarcasm in it. sources have also revealed that my sarcasm meter has been fixed.
There's nothing Kirk Cousins could do that would give him the starting nod over RGIII. He could have a perfect QB passer rating game in game out, go undefeated, and he'd still be riding the bench behind Griff.

If they were stunned, I'm happy they were stunned. Bortles was the only one I didn't want. I feel like he just fits too perfectly with the player scouts and coaches dream about when they get their Old White Man QB Lust. Blue balls for the Texans' Front Office? Good.
Texans couldn't trade up 8 spots to grab Manziel or Bridgewater. Incompetent front office strikes again.
they were so stunned that didnt even have a clue that Manziel and Bridgewater were there for the taken- stupid front office. Idiots..
QFT. Why does everyone forget the lesson of J.J. Watt so quickly? 1) We're not experts. 2) We're not omnicient. 3) We're not psychics. Clowney could very well be a terrible pro and JFF could end up revolutionizing the game in the way people thought Vick would. Then again, the exact opposite could happen. I did't like the Watt pick and now he's my (and many others') favorite Texan. I thought Aaron Curry was an excellent LB propspect, and he was an unqualified bust at #4 overall. People have referred to Jamarcus Russel's pro day as one of the most amazing displays of QB drills they've ever seen. In addition to all of that, nobody drafted: Arian Foster Kurt Warner Tony Romo Wes Welker Warren Moon John Randle Antonio Gates Nate Newton James Harrison Rod Smith London Fletcher Among others and they all contributed significantly to winning teams. My point is, let's all take a beat and not violently overreact.
