^^^ Exactly. We need a veteran "Parker" type player to get out of the West. There's 6 All-star PGs that we need to overcome Curry/Westbrook/Conley/CP3/Parker/Lillard. Right now Parker is taking Lillard to school and back.

And we have Lin/Beverley making as much as the above (using Lin's $15 million salary). The PG position is probably one of the most important player on the floor. They basically run plays and have to be the leader of your team.

This is why we need, Rondo he can play D and attack when needed. Imagine Harden telling Rondo F OFF/Give me the ball now. Rondo won't even listen lol.

Another person I was wishing for was John Wall but after these playoffs he's untouchable.

The difference between the Spurs' bench and the Blazers' is ridiculous.

Fu***ing McHale, man. I hope Les and Morey watch this game and see what great coaching means.

Not only did the Spurs blow the Blazers out, but they led the whole game and didn't let the Blazers make a single run. Pop once had to call a timeout when the lead was cut to twenty. To twenty! That's control of the game right there.

How did the Mavs give them so much trouble?

So...why didn't the rockets go after Belinelli or Korver again?

I'm pretty sure we did look at Korver as well as Corey Brewer, but after Dwight our hands were pretty tied. Players took more lucrative/accommodating deals. This summer should be pretty dope!

Big difference between Parker and Bev/Lin. And their SGs and PFs can defend.

Rockets play in slow motion compared to the Spurs.

The Spurs struggle with teams that drive/shoot a ton in the paint. IE, players like Harden, Lin, TJones all shine since they don't have elite shot blocking.

They do however have fundamental defense, which means that almost every jumper that Portland takes is contested. The Spurs help defend well, so having only a handful of people that can drive to the hoop on Portland hurts them. And they don't have anyone that can match straight up with Dwight since he operates in the low post for drives to the rim/short hooks vs LMA who tends to make jump shots.

As for Parker, Parker is great but he also gets a ton of screens and picks. So does Patty Mills. I saw one play where Mo got screened 3x before Patty Mills made his first pass at the 3 point line.

You get that many screens and it exhausts and beats the crap out of guys like Lillard and Mo. We don't use nearly enough screens inside or outside of the arc to break guys like Harden, Lin or even Parsons and TJones free. The Spurs even run screens for their back cutters and bigs.

Elite half court offense usually requires great picks and screens.

Their play reflects their coach. If the Spurs aren't doing what they're supposed to, Pop calls a timeout, chews them out, and immediately they respond. If the Rockets aren't doing what they're supposed to, McHale eventually calls a timeout, tells them to play harder, and they pick up right where they left off playing poorly.

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

So we swept the Spurs in the regular season. And we were 3-1 against the Blazers during the regular season.

Playoffs. Blazers take us out 4-2.

Now does anybody realistically think we could beat the Spurs in a 7-game series, knowing what happened to us in the first round and now watching them just totally annihilate the Blazers?
