Will never win a ring as constructed. No discipline or defense whatsoever.

The FO thinks that chasing big time offensive players and keeping McHale will luck them into it. Not too far from Morey's coin flip theory.

The current roster will no longer exist at the beginning of the next season.

So technically the OP is correct. The current roster does have 0% chance of winning.

Stopped taking OP serious after "team spirit" was listed.

In short no one, including Morey thought or thinks the current Rockets team would win a title.

So the third youngest team in the league and the youngest team in the playoffs is not championship ready? Shocker...

From day one of this season, I don't think the expectations on this team were championship or bust, barring a huge trade or crazy player development i.e. Lin/Parsons becoming the third star and so on. Of course, a first round exit wasn't the ideal way to end the season but it happens to half of the teams in the playoffs every year. This roster is far from being complete and most of our core guys are still growing into their potential.

The future is still very bright. I do worry about how long Howard will last at this level but there is still no doubt he is the best center in the league, by far. If he can regularly play like he did in the playoffs, with that aggression and sureness in his game, he is unstoppable. Harden, while taking big steps into proving he can be the alpha dog on a championship team, still has a lot of maturing to go. Players like Harden, who are so young and so talented, take awhile to mature but once they do, they are the best players in the game. And down through the roster, all our core guys are young and just about to hit the prime in their careers. And of course, Morey is never finished with making this roster better.

It's not like it was in 2004-2008 where the Rockets put all our hope on an aging roster with 2 extremely talented but injured stars under a GM that while a Rocket's Great, was not making his best or smartest moves. This current Rockets team is on the upswing and while the road may get bumpy, the end looks as promising as it gets.

As long as the GM is the proxy coach, this team will never win a championship.

As long as the owner who has no basketball background makes basketball decisions, this team will never win a championship.

McHale, when you see what Pop did, absolutely has no chance even he was given last year's Heat roster. He might just iso Lebron for 40 mins.

This team needs to do 3 things to become a contender

    Get rid of mchale
    Get rid of Lin
    Get rid of Asik

We are apparently aren't getting rid if mchale so hopefully he gets better.

Lin and Asik need to be gone. Neither are worth their contracts and that space can be used to sign a big time player.

Guess it's good that "this current roster" no longer exists?
