Amazing. The best team in the league shoots midrange jump shots.

Parker is KILLING Liliard and exposing him as a very poor defender with these pick and rolls.

    Let's see....

-Pops always keeps a long player on Aldridge and Lopez
    -box out
-get bigs in position under the glass for offensive rebounds and putbacks
    -trap Lillard
-hedge the PnR aggressively and high
    -fast and crisp ball movement
    -frequent off the ball movement
-heavy use of single and double screens to gain steps and force switches
    -contest every shot
    -ball denial on Aldridge
    -rapid defensive rotation
-close on all 3 point shots
-weak side help defense to support defenders on drives to the rim
-multiple players crash the glass for rebounds
-don't allow players to back cut for easy looks at the basket
-use screens to break back cutters free
-don't overplay your starters by developing your bench
-use a variety of PnR's including high PnR's, side PnR's, and mid PnR's with multiple players playing the role of ball handler and picks/screens
-call time outs to break momentum, settle your players down and adjust defensive/offensive coverage
-call actual plays out of the time outs

It's amazing how different the Blazers look when facing a well coached team...

The Dallas series made the Spurs better. They should maintain momentum going forth now.

S*** 10-man, that's too many fingers for McHale to count to.

You really want this butt-whipping the Spurs are dishing out? I doubt we would've had 25 to their 50 by now.

It doesn't even matter though. Even with Harden playing horrible the Rockets still ALMOST won every single one of those games.

    Imagine that.

If the Rockets contested the three point line better they would have swept the Blazers.

It's a rockets forum not a general NBA forum. Should be expected.

He was on fire in game 6 and they lost. You can't assume games go like that.

They lost b/c they couldn't defend the Blazers' two best players. The Spurs can. That's the difference.
