My favorite Francis dunk was in Vancouver when he picked up his dribble and had nobody to pass to, so he throws it off the backboard catches it and dunks it over Othella Harrington.(I miss him) But that dunk was sick.

Horry always had some nasty inbound dunks - I always thought inbound dunk plays were sweet, as are, of course, the inbound of the opponents back play.

Kenny wasn't the Jet by the time he got to us. You all don't know but Jason Collier is straight nasty. Rudy was just holding him back.

Naw, as a Rocket, Steve Francis no doubt. But Drexler was crazy before he got here. It doesn't matter though, I always prefer dunkers that are shorter.

Guys, guys, guys...we're missing the most obvious choice: Turbo!! :D

Seriously though, as a Rocket I like Francis or the young Akeem-he was nasty when he threw it down.

Was anybody at the UH/Louisville game this season?

I remember seeing them play some footage from the Phi Slama Jamma days as a tribute to Guy V. Lewis at halftime.. and there was this one dunk where Clyde got SO freaking high and did a COMPLETE windmill with the ball.. and i'm not talking baby half-assed windmill.. I mean he started with the ball down at his hip, and with an unbent elbow brought his straight arm all the way around and threw it down on some chump.

That had to be the most amazing dunk I've ever seen (I think Clyde took off from almost the free throw line too!).. I wish I had ESPN classic :(

    tough, but here are my favorite single dunks;
    - OT on Robinson- When hakeem was on injury (eye) OT became all-star taht year. In a San Antonio game he one handed a rebound took it coast to coast and did a power dunk over robinson that brought the house down. I had the picture of it that came out in the chronicle in my college room.

    - Robert Horry in the last game of the 1994 western conference in 1994 on Utah in the forth quarter when he cam from the sideline.

    - Hakeem put back in NY

    - Sleepy over Manute Bol- I remember Manute was suffocating Hakeem that day and Sleepy just took it to him

    - DAvid Wood baseline in Golden state

and finally steve francis: One dunk over Sabonis that i thought he was gonna get blokced. Half way through the air it looked like he lit up his rocket propellers and took off again and stuffed it. he did it another time on shaq, but shaq flagrant him the next time down the court.

I can't really judge since im not old enough to have seen all the other great Rocket dunkers, so I'm going with Steve. I mean he would've won the dunk competition but it had to be the same damn year Vince took it over.

Best single dunk for a Rocket: Matt Bullard : Aginst the Golden State Warriors. Matt is at the 3 point line , give Chris Mullin a head & ball fake than takes it to the rack with a monster dunk. That was sweet. :)

My vote is for James Posey as the best dunker in Rocket history. My favorite Posey dunk was when Francis was bringing the ball up court and looking away and then suddenly through a long alley to Posey who threw it down (Throw it down James Posey! Throw it down!) My second favorite dunk that Posey had came off a three on one fastbreak with Posey, Francis, and Mobley. They were all running up court and Francis through a HIGH to Posey who just threw it down. Posey's dunk on Horry was also great. He almost had a highlight dunk on Shawn Bradley but Bradley stuffed him.

I'd have to say Robert Horry in his early days as a Rocket.

Game 7 vs the Spurs at home, he threw down a shasty mcnasty dunk over david robinson (bringing it down from left to right).

Horry always had some mean a$$ dunks during the glory days but he stinks now.

Charles Jones when he drove baseline over David Robinson and threw down a 2 hand jam. He was about 63 when he did it so you have to give him some props for that. I was just waiting for those knees to pop.
