poorly executed, but the OP actually has the right idea.

I know it's hard to blame Howard for anything this series, but he missed 4 free throws late in game 6. Hack a howard also worked sometimes. There's a lot more blame to go around, but if there wasn't, people would be going nuts about hismissed free throws. It's something that could easily become a problem in the future.

If Howard hit FTs like that we wouldn't have him. He would have won a title in Orlando and would probably still be there.

    'Xactly

Too many youngsters who havn't seen what real playoff post-up play is about here in Houston (Mo Malone, E. Hayes, theDream, Sampson, etc)

Yes, that's why Shaq could never....oh wait. I think we're more upset about the ticky tack calls against him.

    Logical premise:
    LMA's FT% is higher than Dwight's.
    Therefore:
The refs did not affect the Rockets in this series.

    INESCAPABLE CONCLUSION.

McGrady was a great free throw shooter. Look what happened.

Dwight advanced to the nba finals.

Dwight is no doubt a superior leader

He missed critical free throws in games 1 and 6, but he was money in games 2-5. He also shot 63% from the line for the series. His free throw shooting was not the reason they lost this series.

The logic in this post is terrible and makes no sense whatsoever. There is no logical or causal flow to this argument whatsoever.

The refs' missed calls on Dwight don't matter because he missed free throws? They matter even more because he needs extra shots to make points.

The fact that Dwight is a poor free throw shooter makes the refs' missed calls even more harmful, because he would have had additional opportunities to make free throws. Even if he converted ONE ADDITIONAL FOUL CALL at 50% (meaning he makes 1 of his 2 free throws), Game 6 is tied.

He also indisputably stepped up his FT% in the playoffs, which is exactly what was asked of him. And we're supposed to blame Howard for not being a 90% free throw shooter when he's never shot anywhere close to that? That's like blaming Harden for being too short to guard Lopez.

You ask your players to step up their game in the playoffs, not completely transform into something they've never been before.

You can't be serious blaming Howard? He is the only one who showed up every single game!

I never said it was the reason...i said it could become a problem later.

However, your logic is that he shot ok during the series, except for critical misses in two games we lost, so that doesn't make it a problem? Doesn't sound right to me...it was at least one of the reasons we lost those games and losing games is what will cost you the series..

take the good with the bad. for as many free throws as he missed, he made up for defensively when harden, lin, asik, or jones got burned.
