Shouldn't have been guarding the inbounder with .9 sec
    Should've doubled Lillard
Bev & Lin should've been on Lillard & Mo
Jones shouldn't have been in the game
Parsons shouldn't have been on Lillard

This many mistakes.... its on the coach

Dang. I thought they switched because of a screen. There wasn't a screen. How did they let Lillard run free like that?

You can't leave Lillard that space to finish his jump shot.
So Bev on Lillard is more reason le than Parsons

    Exactly!

You hit on every point I was going to make.

The man is utterly clueless. Such a shame.

    The players deserve better.

Lillard just said that Parsons/Bev/Harden were still talking about switching while the ball was being inbounded... lol... that's gotta be on the coach.

That, and Harden didn't switch onto Lillard when Mathews screened Parsons. Kind of fitting that season ends like that, with a completely blown defensive assignment

You do know that players talk and communicate on the court right?

The other questions to answer. Why was Harden even in on a defensive set? Why did they have someone in the inbounds passer?

Beverley lost Lillard plenty on those kind of plays as well.

The real problem I had was Terrence Jones jumping up and down like an idiot having no effect whatever on the play.

Given this teams strategic and defensive lapses, this ending, though bitter, is no surprise. I have yon idea what the defensive assignments were or what the players were discussing. But last I checked, communication in D was an important thing.

Now I am just interested in what Harden decides to do now that he is recognized as a one-way player and his defensive lapses have become a point of focus for both the public and opponents.

This, Bev should switched. Maybe that's why James Harden ask them to switch, so that it will be Bev on Lillard after switch.

That's still a stupid tweet considering they person doesn't even know if Harden told them to switch. Even if he did as plenty have said he could have just reminded them what McHale said.

    Dumb tweet tweet is dumb

Just too much confusion on defense on that play. Shot was too easy in that situation. Just ridiculous.

    if you watch the play....

at first bev is on lillard. he is on the inside. basically preventing lillard from getting a clean path to the ball. makes sense.

Then harden tells parsons and bev to switch.

When they do, parsons goes to the outside. Apparently he thinks that lillard is going to take off and bev is going to switch off onto him.

But bev obviously is not thinking this. because he takes the inside on his guy. basically meaning that he can't get after lillard.

the whistle blows, and parsons gets ready to take bevs guy.

    Bev doesnt budge.

Parson lunges after lillard. but its too late.

just miscommunication from having a coach never tell them what to do in such an obvious situation.
