**** any of you who suggest Sloan

Hollies, Karl or a Van Gundy at the top of the list. I think this team is good enough offensively to compensate for some of these coaches crappy offense.

Ollie. I think his relationship with Harden might be able to get him playing game defense full-time.

**** no George Karl. Harden and Dwight would run amok with dumb iso ball and no defense

There are quite a few guys out there that'd be upgrades.

My primary target would be Jeff van gundy. Defensive guy that can bring structure to both ends of the court. And he's shown that he can work with the star big and star guard.

Jeff knows the team. He loves the city. He's familiar with the organization. He's also a very very good coach.

He's had time to sit and observe a lot of nba. Bring this man back to the rockets.

i think the rockets are keeping hakeem regardless of who the coach is.

i would love both of ellie and cassell on our bench again.

Was it Jeff Van Gundy on that Lakers list?

If it was bring him in.

His lack of offense won't hurt us since McHale was contributed about 1% to our offensive success and that's being generous.

Except JVG's defensive philosophy will be huge for this team.

woodson is a good coach, but could probably be had as a top assistant.

Jeff Van Gundy ... He seems to have a wonderful relationship with Morey and I wonder if that will persuade him to come out of retirement. I feel that he will be open to analytics that we use and the offense won't suffer. Van Gundy knows not to fix something that isn't broken and he will be able to get us to give better effort of D. I don't remember Jeff Van Gundy the coach ... I do remember he used to catch a lot of flak on here for his offenses. However if JVG the coach we get now is like JVG the commentator I feel good about our future . McHale has his positives , however in the playoffs his negatives and lack of creativeness have reared their head . JVG is a more proven coach who brings theoretical improvement to our weaknesses ... And therefore he would be my favorite at this point .

I nominate StripedPajamas. He clearly knows more than McHale.
