Parsons-"We feel like we're a better team and deserve to move on"

What's wrong with confidence in our team? We should be marching into enemy's ground with swagger. Hell, I'd want him to shout "Mo, tell me how my ass tastes" when he dunks the ball.

 

Parsons has to learn how to talk.

 

There wasn't really anything wrong with what he said this time. It's when you combine it with everything else he's said lately that makes you want to tell him to shut tf up.

 

Parsons' choice of words were not ideal but I do think he is a guy who plays with passion. When Phil Jackson's Lakers talked a lot of trash, it was done with a purpose. Not sure this statement has any useful purpose other than to focus Portland's players, especially Batum, who was a difference maker in the prior 2 games in Portland.

 

Needs to stop talking.

Saying you deserve something makes you sound whiny and entitled. Lots of crap teams "deserve" victories and championships but they're never going to get them because they suck. I know what Parsons meant, but his choice of words was slightly unfortunate.

If we lose this series, watch Parsons say some stupid **** like "We were the better team but we just got a little unlucky." Shut the **** up pretty boy. Parsons has really gotten on my nerves lately.

Chandler, like a lot of our other guys, is young and dumb.

Sometimes they speak before thinking.

 

what is it with parsons, the guy speaks as if he was the best player on this team, just go out there and play.

 

If winning the series at home and advancing isn't motivation enough, then something's wrong. They're professional athletes, I'm sure they have bulletin boards, etc, but i don't think they play as big a role as you guys think.

 

He should prove it by actually playing defense.

 

I just think nerves are going to be a big part of Game 6. And the more confidence our guys have in how good they are, the better.

My god. Every time he says something like that, we're toast. Touch wood. He said we're the best team then we went on a losing streak. He said he was the best SF in this series, look what happened.

On pondering it more ... I am fine with the "We feel like we're a better team" part... the "deserve to move on" statement, is kind of a bummer.
