Does it seem Durant doesn't get criticized as Lebron did ?

Once Durant leaves OKC for Houston, he'll be a bad guy too, huehue.

Maybe it's because Durant didn't pull something like "the Decision"?

Lebron is the best player of this generation, but that was a stupid move.

    Because he's college educated.

The reason I haven't criticized him in these playoffs is because Memphis is the best defensive team in the NBA by far.

the hate and criticism lebron gets compared to the free pass durant gets is almost as bad as the Lin criticism on CF.

Lebron is far and away the best player in the world. He'll retire as one of the 5 best players ever. Durant, a good guy and a great player may just end up being another very good/HOF calibre player whose playing career unfortunately overlapped with King James.

The decision was done by ESPN and the proceeds went to charity. Don't blame LeBron.

Durant is the most protected superstar in NBA history.

LeBron is also a great father and role model. He's the face of the NBA and the NBA is very proud of that.

The hate on Lebron has been unwarranted and I never really understood why people hated on him so much. I don't want him to win another championship either but I can't really say I hate him as a person.

As for Durant, I don't really know anyone who can hate on that guy. He just seems like a very talented dude who plays his heart out every night. And then fact that he never loses his temper playing next to someone like Westbrook and Perkins just makes me respect him more.

He's not going to get as much flack simply because the opponent is Memphis.

Memphis won 50 games WITHOUT Marc Gasol for 26 games. Give Memphis Marc Gasol back and there's a good chance that they're the #3 or #4 seed.

So OKC is playing the equivalent of a 2nd round play off series, against a team with arguably the best perimeter defender in the NBA (Tony Allen), the largest front line in the NBA (Gasol + Zbo), that also plays grinding, physical basketball on both sides of the floor. On top of that, Memphis has improved over last year in terms of adding scorers. They're basically the pre-all star game Pacers but with more shooting.

I think folks need to give Tony Allen and Memphis' defense more credit. Tony Allen plays Durant just about as well as is humanly possible. And how many teams have Tony Allen?

I think their is legit chance he repectfully asks for a trade this summer if they get bounced in the first round and they fire Scott Brooks. Kevin Durant like Scott Brooks a lot and if he gets fired it might give him an excuse to ask for a trade.

Durant has a Westbrook whom he lets take more shots than him so will naturally take his blame

KD and OKC have won multiple games without WB, in fact they beat top teams like the Spurs and Heat without WB. WTF has WB ever done without Durant? Now his chance to prove himself and yet he's shooting even worse than Durant.

LeBron was receiving way more criticism before he left (see the Orlando and Boston series), and he was playing better on a team with less help.

I'm not sure what the big deal about the "decision" was, people go away in FA all the time. Didn't Melo leave nuggs for NYC? Didn't DH leave Orlando for Brooklyn/LA? Didn't CP3 leave NO for the Clipps? The only difference is LBJ had a tv special about it, and consequently managed to raise money for charity.

Are people here so self-important they think their annoyance is worth more than underprivileged kids getting the financial support they need? LBJ did more good for the world and raised more money for charity with the "decision" than majority of the posters here in their entire lives.

Now some smart-asses are probably gonna go and say why didn't he just donate to charity himself without the publicity? The problem with this line of thinking is charity shouldn't be questioned by people who aren't giving a ton themselves, whatever form it may be. If you're questioning the dude who donated 1M and you haven't done jack**** then IMHO you shouldn't be asking how other people spend their money.

I'm not trying to judge people though, I just hate the fact that people are calling LBJ a "bad guy" because he did the decision when that tv special actually did some concrete and actual good for the world.

I don't see how anyone could hate Kevin Durant . . . unless it's a fan of an opposing team. Still ridiculous.

Lebron, I understand, but it's still ridiculous how people hate this man. America should really get over itself considering he's almost globally beloved.

The whole point is the TV special. People don't like people that appear self-obsessed, and that's exactly how LBJ came across. It's the reason LBJ gets criticized while Durant's much more humble approach results in far less.

If you are Cavs fan or live in Cleveland, I understand, if that is not the case why the hell would anyone care?
