I'm hoping for a 3 team trade with ATL and CHI where we get Millsap/Lou Williams, Chicago gets Lin/Korver/T.Jones, and ATL gets Asik/Boozer.

I thought Asik still wants to be a starting center?

Doubt he'd want to go somewhere where he wasnt.

    A couple of points.

First, amnestying Boozer is not enough cap space to get Anthony. They would need to move Dunleavy and possibly Gibson and at least one of their first round draft picks... and not resigning KH and Augustine... also means Mrotic doesn't come over.

Are the Bulls willing to do all that? I don't think Reinsdorf or Foreman are willing to do that. I suspect that the Bulls scratch together 14-15 million a season to offer Anthony and hope he takes it.... and he won't, with teams like Houston and others offering the max.

Also, make no mistake Reinsdorf is not happy that he will pay $15,000,000 next year for Boozer to not play, and has paid $25,000,000 the last two years for Derrick Rose to not play........ being asked to throw 4 years and $96,000,000 at Carmelo Anthony isn't going to be an easy sell.

He has flagged that he's willing to take a discount to play.

What's the chances Melo actually meant it?

Cant always have your cake and eat it too.

Maybe like 10 years ago. Boozer has maybe 1 or 2 moderate years left in him.

As bad as Jeremy Lin has been, I wouldnt trade him even for Loser.

In fact, you would have to pay me considerable amount of cash and a couple of first round picks if you wanted me to pick loser up just to sit him on the bench.

Just re-watch last night's game against the Wizards. Gibson goes out due to ankle sprain...which forces Bulls to play loser......and.....he makes 0 contributions. Lays bricks and gives up rebounds after rebounds on the other end.

He gave up 4 consecutive offensive rebounds on one play itself with around a minute to go....

....to MIGHTY Gortat, The Polish Hammer!

As much as I want the Rockets to get rid of Lin, it's not worth it for Boozer if it costs us Asik. if it was Lin + fillers for Boozer, I might consider it.

What a ****ty thread. You obviously weren't a Rockets fan during the Utah playoffs series. Having Boozer on this team is just insulting.

30/30 NBA GMs would pick Asik over Boozer if given the chance. Asik is not just salary to dumb, he's an actually very valuable player. Lin is underperforming right now, but so is Boozer and his cap hit is much heavier, plus Lin can still break out of his funk, Boozer is too old to change as a player.

Hell to the no, this is a terrible idea. Why would the Bulls want a PG and a C anyway? Those are their 2 strongest positions.
