If Rockets lose this series, don't worry, the good news is Rockets will go after Carmelo.

I'd rather have Rondo and sign a Granger or Evan Trevor Aziza type of guy. Carmelo is a black hole, unless he changes his game and takes a huge pay cut. But as he is now, they'll have to play with two basketballs for him and Harden

 

Can we go after Delfino? I admit, I didn't think we would really miss him with Garcia doing about the same as far as 3 pointers and defense but watching game 4 makes me miss Delfino, he played pretty solid defense!!

we dont need 3rd superstar,just trade lin for a better pg and make some upgrades in the bench and we are real contenders i believe.

 

I don't think the rockets need Melo at all to win. They need a defensive guru @ SF coming off the bench, as they do a starting caliber point guard.. Beverly is good just coming off then bench.

If we can get Melo and Lowry, we are gonna be perfect! though mind the cap, we have to ship out everyone else, but we still have Troy and TJ.

 

Did you forget what James did all year? He's been playing hurt....They're very close now.

I'll tell you what...In 3-5 years, it WON'T be though. James Harden is on a trajectory that will put him way beyond just about anybody in the NBA.

And, he will have multiple rings.

 

Who knows what the future will hold with Harden's injuries and all.

But for the moment Harden is REGRESSING under this coach and we'll need a new coach if Harden is to achieve his full potential.

At the moment MELO > Harden and we are in win now mode.

 

#1 Harden is not regressing as a player, he is getting better. He is better this season than last season. He had two bad games to open the playoffs.. It happens.
#2 Harden > Anthony
#3 McHale is not getting fired if the Rockets get eliminated.

Actually the Rockets are in a better position to get Melo than just about any contending team in the NBA.

Carmelo is a ball stopper. That's a fact. Harden may do some isolation plays but for the most part he shares the ball and has good court vision. The main problem is that the Rockets don't have another player that can create his own shot; therefore, Harden is often forced to be the play-maker on the team. No, the Rockets need to upgrade the PG situation and find another wing that can play some D and shoot the 3. Perhaps a guy like Trent Green or Anthony Morrow.

The bottom line is Carmelo needs shots and I don't see how he can co-exist with Howard and Harden, not to mention we would've have the money to sign any quality bench players, which is killing us in the playoffs.
