The last thing out of McHale's mouth to be uttered in this town should any iteration of "It's on me." You must not be familiar with one Gary Kubiak.

I argued with someone in the past, Mchale doesnt develop players. He doesnt make them better, nor corrects mistakes. If a player keeps making these mistakes, thats on the coaching staff. If you make mistakes here and there it happens in the game, but when you see the same thing from several players thats something to point out.

Well, if McHale threw Lin under the bus, he also threw Bev under the bus because that was the first thing he actually talked about, that last turnover in OT.

Also, he said people needed to make basketball plays and Lin made basketball plays.

Fairly or not, he is calling the whole team out for playing soft.

Dude McHale told them during the timeout to call a timeout if there wasn't a fast break opportunity. As soon as Lin got the rebound he should have called timeout period. That is just one of many boneheaded mistakes by the entire team. Harden and Parsons had fast break opportunities in the 3rd and they turned the ball over. Howard gets the ball stripped from him in the post with three defenders on him. Yes it wasn't out on him (refs blew that call big time) but why are you forcing things when you should have made the smart play, and that was to pass the ball out. If he does that we don't get screwed on that possession.

it's fair. but what would also be fair is if the players called him out for his poor play calling, poor defensive strategies, poor rotations/substitutions, and apparent inability to call a frickin timeout himself when the season is on the line.

If Lin would have stood still and held the ball for a second--literally one second--that would have happened. But Lin didn't stay in one place long enough for anyone to even get their hands up to make a "T."

They are not as talented as you think. The worst part of it all, is giving up under pressure.

In the end, it feels like Mchale is mostly a non-factor to the team's success or failure...and that is a huge problem.

McHale can make excuses but he lost this series when he decided to wait until Game 3 to make adjustments. By then it was too late. The Rockets had already lost both home games and have been faced with an uphill battle to win this series.

The first game in the regular season against the Blazers he had Howard and Asik starting. He should've known that that lineup work against the Blazers. Oh well, I hoping for a game 7 on Sunday.

Dude if McHale wanted a timeout he should have called a timeout.

NBA Rules: The coach of the team that has possession of the ball can always call a time out in any situation.

It's stupid to blame Lin for not calling a timeout and exclude McHale for not calling it. He was in a much better possession to call it.

Lin had 2 Blazers charging him who both were foaming from the mouth at the opportunity to slap, poke, bat, punch, swing, chop, knock, smack and/or swat the ball loose. Lin was trapped in the baseline with 2 blazers and even Howard in his way. There was no safe place or moment to call a timeout. There was no guarantee the ref would even see his timeout request and then BAM the vultures are upon him.

The man who shoulda, coulda called that timeout never even attempted to. He must have thought Lin was doing the right thing.

You can't blame Lin and give McHale a pass dudee.

Wow, do you hear what your saying. They didn't have time to get their hands up to make a T and yet supe Lin with lightning fast hands was supposed to be able to.

The fact is doesn't matter if Lin is moving or standing still. McHale had plenty of time to call a TO. Lets be honest guys. In an effort to focus only on hating Lin people are becoming delusional. McHale was in the best position to call the timeout and he chose not to. He never even raised his hand like he might be interested in it. He looked like a zombie in shock.

It's easy to scapegoat Lin but where is the coach. McHale had plenty of time to call the timeout. Keep it real here.

Jeremy made a number of mistakes, many of which were avoidable. But one was not understanding playoff ref calls, which he'll learn for next time.

Too many dumb players on this team. I feel bad for the coach.

Coach is dumb too. At least he's getting paid millions, no sympathy required.

The worst part is... the players are dumb but young... the coach is dumb and old...

There's hope for the former, none for the latter...
