He said that he told them to call a timeout unless there was a clear break. He should have told the whole team to get the rebound and call timeout immediately no matter what.

Then he said it was typical of how the players didn't follow what he told them to do. But he was the one who gave them the option. Not to mention that he didn't even question the refs on Mo being out of bounds.

Jesus, You're just as bad as those worshipping lin fanboys. This play pisses me off and you just keep constantly posting it over and over.

Lin to the Lakers makes sense. He can play for the coach that got him his game going in NY.

Of course they didn't. That would have sealed it for the Blazers.

Refs didn't acknowledge that Mo Williams was out of bounds either. Or that the ball actually did NOT hit Dwight's knee. The refs are just terrible man. I've seen JV basketball being better reffed

That out of bounds steal happened _right in front_ of McHale.

I would have thought he would have protested or something.

Heart breaking cos that was a turning point, I thought.

I agree already Lin sucks - you've won. But you know what - Harden has been beyond pathetic in this series - this team will never get a ring if he's the best player.

Mchale kinda threw Beverly under the bus also. paraphrasing... "we held the ball too much, at the end of the game we had a chance to make a three to tie the game, we dont get the ball to the guy we are trying to get it to , they get a steal, we gotta throw the ball ahead, we're not throwing the ball ahead you know... (silence)"

Mchale genuinely looked physically and emotionally exhausted and also stress/lamented the 3 consecutive turnovers in the 4th, mentioning how the lead could've been 17 but was 11.

Anybody know if the Rockets can trade Lin this offseason? I mean, realistically?

Coaches can call timeouts. Lin costed us the game by not calling a timeout or holding onto the ball, but McHale didn't help things by standing on the sidelines like a clueless moron.

Hopefully we can pull out games 5 and 6 and take it to game 7. This loss was not entirely on Lin. As a team their were waaaaaayyyyy too many turnovers. In my heart of hearts though the refs cost us this game. There were two plays that stood out to me. The first one was when Lin lost the ball and Williams actually stepped out of bounds. The second one was in OT when Howard went for the rebound and Aldridge knocked the ball out of bounds. We might have actually won the game had both of those calls gone our way. To put a positive spin on this all of the games that we have lost have been pretty close. All we have to do is find a way to close a game out. We get up and then we make too many mistakes and let them right back in the game. We have to stop the mistakes and we will win.
