    New Uni's unveiled June 6th??? *100 Days to Lift-Off PARTY*

    Im thinking....NO!!!
    but it would be nice wouldnt it?

    100 Days to Lift-Off


    Come and be a part of our Big 100 days to Lift-Off milestone as the Rockets & Comets prepare to move into there new downtown home!!! Take a break from work to come have lunch with the Rockets & Comets plus you can also enter for you chance to be the first guest at the inaugural game in the new arena.

    You will also be able to check out Clutch, the Rockets Power Dancers and the Rolling Rockets' basketball group's on-court talents.

    The block party will be held on Friday, June 6th, at the Jones Plaza in downtown Houston from 11:30am-1:30pm.

    Special guest will include Bill Worrell, Calvin Murphy, Clutch, Turbo, Team Energy, Power Dancers, as well as your favorite Rockets and Comets players!!!!

    So make sure you come out and join the Rockets & Comets celebrate 100 days to Lift-Off on June 6th!!!!

    that reminds me, whos idea was it to have a bonfire beach party type thing where we burn our old PJ unis? ive got 2 pippen jerseys set aside just waiting for sweet sweet incineration. that and id love to meet people who have the same passion for talking basketball.

    its just plain ugly talking basketball with people who think cincinnati got the first pick in the nba draft this year :eek: eh i let it go....

    seriously tho, it was a great idea and the galveston beaches are looking....well.....ok theyre never good but it is summer.

    It is wierd. This is the type of event where you DO unveil new uni's, but Tim has said more than once that it won't be until after the draft. Odd.

    When they reveal the uniforms, especially after the spectacle that was the Texans uniform unveiling, you can bet it is going to be a helluva lot bigger than a lunch at Jones Plaza.

    I just hope the new uni's and logo make the upcomming action figures and video games. IT IS IMPORTANT TO THE KIDS!!!

    You cannot believe how bummed my nephews were that the New Orleans Hornets played on their old Charlotte court for their 2003 NBA PS2 Game!!! Not to mention hardly any game had Yao Ming, but thats a different story.


    The Rockets have control over wether or not the new logo and unis as well as court and arena make the video games.

    DONT DROP THE BALL!!!

    The uni's probably wont be unveiled for another 100 days.

    Sorry, I just got the feel that it will essentially be something big.

    Block party...Jones Plaza....two hours. Maybe it is just a small lunch??

    How long does it take to pull a curtain off a uni?

    What do we really have to celebrate right now?

    Are people really excited about the new arena still?

    I think most Rocket Fans and Ticket Buyers are skeptical of what will become of this team.

    The Rockets are already having a hard time selling more expensive tickets, and now with Rudy gone it is probably worse (in the meantime).

    If they are expecting a serious turnout, I would expect a uni, a logo, or at the very least a new coach to be un-veiled.

    we'll see....

    You really think there is more interest in the Rockets new uni's than the Texans, considering their then new franchise status, etc?

    If they were smart, they'd do it quickly before the Astros crash and burn...er, make a playoff run and before The Texans start training camp. Especially considering we have the Superbowl this year. Don't want it to get lost in the shuffle.

    Actually, we don't control the video games. It'd be fun, though ... could spend most of my day playtesting.

    The video game companies do have the uniforms, though. We hope they include them. They should.

    100 days? Nawww, not that long ...

    i cant wait the new jerseys to drop! i hate those butt-ugly pinstripes jerseys! anyways, if the block party is true, well, see yall guys there.. lol:)

    on NBA Live 2003....Yao wasnt on it. So i created him. I think yaos a great passer....so i set his passing at max. At the end of his rookie season............he was averaging 16 assists a game.....

    My question is not how long until the new uniforms are unveiled, rather how long until we know when they will be unveiled. I'll be in my summer sports coma soon (i.e. ignoring baseball) and I'll probably miss the whole thing ;)
