Sterling obviously is not completely "healthy". Having this stunningly beutiful black as his girlfriend doesn't make sense with his comments. I think he has deserved his second technical and should be ejected. Personally I would prefer that they sold this team to Seattle. I can't understand why there should be two teams in a city (and even play in the same arena!). Before the Clips start to build a new arena, they should be shipped to Seattle.

good move. No point in taking the risk of a player saying something he shouldn't in the moment or anything controversial. Last thing they need down 2-1 is to comment on a story that provides nothing but distraction.

I think Sterling is misunderstood. He just hasn't caught up with the times. He is obviously so old he lived during the slavery period. In fact I think he is so old Noah had him and his girl loaded up on the arc. Its obvious the jack a$$ survived the flood.

Clutch isn't paying us our salary. We didn't sign a contract giving an organization the ability to control how we interface with the media.

The organization is the employer and the players are employees. If your boss told u to not talk about a situation to the media, you just dont. I dont see anything wrong with that.

I think you can fine a player for distracting a team from focusing on winning - whether they are praising or criticizing sterling. I don't know the terms of the contracts and if they have language that voids the contract if the players don't follow the media talking points of the org either.

Yeah, but thats when someone can build up some courage and talk about an unjust act if they feel they have something right to say. Shouldn't matter what your boss says. There is something wrong about supressing someones opinion about race and threating them either contractual or with fines, not that the rockets org or NBA did that, but i get the sense that people would think its alright if they did.

I don't think they hate Asians anymore. Now they hate Lithuanians.

Anyway, my guess about the Rockets' not wanting the players to chime in probably because they were aware of so much stupidity could be said by the players on the internet. If a player says something stupid and the whole cyber world piles on him, it will be a real distraction.

there is more to this. why would someone tape a phone conversation in the 1st place if there is no ulterior motive?

I guess the restraint issued by Rockets Org to the players on commenting is the right move. It is ensure no words are spoken that everyone will regret once the truth is out.

if this phone recording will be authenticated, then Mr. Sterling is a dumb old man, he fell into the trap. He was caught hook-line-sinker on the bait that the girl laid down on him. Lessoned learned, people who are there for your money is not to be trusted. Only people you can trust is family.

At first I actually felt sorry for Sterling. How delusional he is, and how bad he set up and used. I didn't care and I still don't. But then you got Les tampering with douche rules. Look buddy, this is going to effect everybody, not just the rockets. Pretty selfish of people to say here I just want them rox to win.

Bmoney, you don't love me? My s5 decided to spell that for me.

    History shows otherwise.

But getting back to the Rockets, I don't agree with this mandate at all, nor will I hold it against any player for ignoring it.

The good news is the refs will now be a helluva lot more cautious and more than likely will not make any bets for game 4.

Care to make a bet on when the boys will make their next RTV? They said there would be many episodes during this series. But it's game day for game 4 and we've only had one episode. Liars!
