You're not going after rondo for his shooting. You're getting him because he'll make up for Harden's lack of defensive effort and he's a great playmaker. He would be perfect running the break on this team.

Parsons is a good all around player (on O) with weakfish D. Can be great in regulation - disappears in clutch time pretty consistently (=strong role player)- so, that will limit his earnings I would think.

I think he'll sign 8 mil a year, maybe 9....that is a drop considering his play for a good portion of the year may have warranted 12, 13 mil.

his play was bad last night, and most of this series. he'll find h is confidence though. his drives to the lane last night were a good start.

I think Parsons is a solid player. There are things he shown that tell me he can become a pretty darn good player. His will and determination is what stand out. If you ask me last year if he's a pretty darn good player?? I don't think so. I always thought he's just an okay player.

I dont' think he should say he is better than Batum. I think between the two, i'll Batum over him. Batum is just more fundamentally sound.

He should be on the dream team. He is on Durant's level. Really. I swear. He is also the best SF in the entire league. Really. I swear. Um..

No but on a serious note...he is a second tier player and should be paid accordingly.

He was never a star, nor deemed one. His contract isn't going to change.

exposure, meaning he's not a third star, he's a role player. worth about 6 million, not 10-12.

personally I think Batum and Parsons are very, very similar.

Defensively Batum has the edge, but Parsons is a bit better on offense.

both lanky and know how to play team ball, do the right cuts, etc....

He tries so hard to be the third star. His problem is he likes to talk himself big. Before he referred to himself as the third star. And then best sf in game between Portland.

Calm down young buck you haven't proven Anytning yet this series.

The third star is the rest of the team for rockets.

Third star for Portland after LA and lilliard are the refs :D

McHale hampered him with too many big minutes down the stretch of the season. His back is still an issue here. I just wish the pubescent posters could be dealt with because they no only don't know how to deal with life but lack all kinds of team empathy.

Lin has been playing with back issues since it started, hence his bike riding. Parsons is at his best when he cuts and gets to the rim, hate it when he jacks up a 3 that isn't open.

Parsons provided so much to the team throughout the season as well as Lin. The problem with this team is not its personnel but the coaching. These guys are throwing away their best years for a guy that ran the Minnesota Timberwolves organization to the ground. How could Morey hire this guy in the first place?

Why are Rox fans so ready and willing to toss their own people? Rox fans are loyal to the organization, and, to winning, but in their eyes the players are almost non-human, mere pawns, whose lone purpose for existence is to grant the fans more W's.

Parsons is a true Rocket. He was drafted by the Rox, came up through the organization, much like PPat, and Scola. Guys like that you allow a little leeway. Also he has room to grow. Earlier this year almost the entirety of CF was ready to feed DMo and TJones to the crows; but they've come a long way...

Lets not act like Parsons just sucks. He is a great player. Just needs to shut up and let his game do the talking.

Also, he has really been pulling his arm back on his 3s. He is doing the same thing he did at the start of season, shooting on the way down. He needs to work on his shot again and also look to attack more instead of settling on those long shots.
