Idiotic post. Why are we a 4 seed in the first place? Harden's the main reason.

The play that started the crazy sequence was Harden/Howard pick and roll - NOT Harden ISO hero ball. Watch the play again.

I don't mind hero-ball in itself too much. All superstars do that. What I can't stand is Harden passing the ball off after iso-fail instead of taking it himself. The only reason I can think of doing so, is because he doesn't want to hurt his stats or shoot a bad shot himself. Unfortunately, this puts unfair burden on the victim he passes the ball to, since they have to jack up a horrible shot.

Teams with superstar players live and die by the 'hero ball'. It isn't necessarily the best option but that's how the game is players. Rockets are similar to OKC in this regard.

I don't like his iso game, but at this point, its too late to change his game. We made it this far with him all season with the isos and we should continue doing so. Harden is the only person I trust with the ball at the end of games. Regular season is over, we will have to eat what we cooked up.

The reason we are the 4 th seed is cuz the NBA is historically awful this year all the good players are on the same teams and we have 2 of the best players in the world, not because harden iso works you dip$hit

Terrible thread.. a knee-jerk post after a win? lol do you not realize the big shots he made down the stretch to even keep us in a position to be able to win and shift momentum? he's the only one that can hit cold blooded shots that are needed from your best player. also, it's not always his decision. the coaches have a lot to do with it and there arent exactly too many other options with Dwight getting hammered with no calls and parsons on the bench. he's gonna have to force a bit, watch other NBA games, every star does when placed in a desperate situation like that. just be happy that we won!! damn :/

See? This I can get on board with. Before you just sounded pissed. I was stoked that we pulled off a win and the first things I see here are people all over Harden and Lin. Total buzz kill.

Yes, he needs to play smarter. And yes, I do believe coaching is a huge factor here. I don't think McHale is the right guy to develop these guys. Or in Jame's case, reign him in and smarten him up.

    Terrible post after a win!

This is the fking NBA! do you even watch games, every team gives the ball to their best players

    Dallas to Dirk
    San Antonio to Tony Parker
    GSW to Curry
    Heat to Lebron

if you don't like the NBA there's always volleyball to watch

i like the below comment very much:

James Harden, every time he gets the ball he holds it for 7 seconds. before dribbling into traffic and getting blocked or just settling for a long shot...
    :p:grin:

The way we are playing, I wouldn't call ourselves the 4th seed.

The biggest fault/defect in our offense is the fact that 3 other people stand still while dwight and harden run the pick and roll, OR when it is actually harden iso'ed.

The ball needs to be in his hands in the closing minutes of close games, but
he does make some absolutely bone headed decisions. Even if he is forced into some of the due to the lack of movement.

Our team fails tremendously at moving without the ball in clutch moments.

How about because it has already been discussed to death? In case you missed it, the media has constantly roasted Harden for his D. In case you missed it, fans have been harping him for his D all season and during the playoffs. Where do you think the nickname "Haren" comes from? In case you missed it, a Rockets fan compiled that 11 minute video of Harden's defensive woes. In case you missed it, take off those Lin glasses so you won't miss it the next time around.

Harden isolation has been the go-to offensive strategy. Problem is refs aren't always sending him to the line when he draws contact and I think it's taken him off his usual game. He got back into a good rhythm and had 37 points tonight which bodes well for us.

what game were you watching? Lin was swishing and dishing, Dwight hit 4-6 free throws. Parsons being out was a good thing cause Daniels was feeling it. YOu telling me Harden step backs....leaning in 3 is better than throwing it dwight? pick and roll?? get real. When you pretty much take every shot of course you'll hit some big ones. He missed some big ones too, and was absolutely atrocious on defense.

Wow seriously guys, go jack off or something, you're wasting your time being depressed after a big win.

Hero-ball happens on every team with a star or superstar. That's their job; to create something out of nothing. Harden's probably however, is when hero-ball fails he hits the eject button and passes to someone on the perimeter hoping they can bail him out.

yea except LeBron/curry/parker aren't afraid to take it to a guy 5-6 inches shooter who has 0 defensive ability. Harden was trying to step back on Lillard for some reason.
