If I went around the main Rockets forum sarcastically bashing the ridiculous trade proposals (Miami's #5 for a future low first-rounder and some second rounders) and mocking the Larry Brown threads (I love the "who's going to coach us after Larry leaves?"), would I get banned?
I wouldn't think so. TheFreak does this a lot i think. I do it sometimes. bashing can be fun when it's just.
As long as you don't label the board, I think you are okay. I have seen, it seems like, 5 posters get banned for doing that.
Somebody needs to do it! I can't stand all those hypothetical trade senarios. And for the love of God...how many different threads do we need to talk about whether Larry Brown is coming here or not?!?
How about banning the next person to post: Looks like I'm going to.......PUKE MY ASS OFF! Seriously, that was funny for less than five seconds.
I can see why you would be tempted, especially when it is really stupid sh*t posted by first timers. I can't even read that forum anymore without wanting to scream.
No, but it would be funnier if you started a thread in this forum titled, "Looks like I'm going to be a gay p*rn actor"...
that's how half of us ended up as admins, so be careful Major Woohoo I'm going to take this as a "no, you won't be banned" from an Admin!
I guess this is as good a place to post this as any. I had been planning a short diatribe about the GARM forum and how since the season had ended it has gotten more readable with some of the better posters showing up. It became easier to sort out the good threads from the bad ones. All that went in the toilet however, on Friday. With Rudy's announcement the GARM forum has once again become unbearable due to millions of moronic posts. It is now painful to look and see 4000 threads about the same things over and over. A trillion debates about who the Rockets should hire, while the very next thread has the same exact debate(many times by the same exact people). Seeing this blinding mass of idiocy, I think maybe a little bashing and riducule to those robots spouting about with their transparent opinions might be a good thing. Or at least something to pique some interest(mine for one) in the GARM. CK
