    OKC had the 4th pick after Durant's rookie year and the 3rd pick after Durant's 2nd year.

    I think the more scary thing is that Portland could have had both. Also, basketball players coming out of UT don't usually pan out the way these 2 have.

    Kyrie was from taking on Baron Davis' contract and was the LAC pick, not their own. So, it was still possible (just not likely to be willing to take on the albatross if still in contention.)
