Sad that I see Atlanta running multiple smooth half court sets getting open shots yet THIS team doesn't run basic sets
LOL. If Harden is pouting because Dwight is getting all the touches, you really think he'll be engaged with a ball-dominant PG taking the ball out of his hands? Why do you think Lin got benched?
Then you should no better than to accuse someone else of being an alcoholic based on nothing more than the way they play basketball. What an idiotic post. Seriously.
I see Paul George, Durant lebron running off screens...even curry will run off screens and cut... 98% of the time if harden doesn't have the ball he's calling for it or just standing there. See, I blame harden but a good coach doesn't allow his players to make these same mistakes over and over again.
I didn't accuse him, and it wasn't based just on his basketball. I raised it as a possibility based on patter recognition, and also based on the many reports and videos of him in clubs, drunk out of his mind. But, I'm sorry you think it was idiotic. It would have seemed idiotic to ask the same question of Steve Francis during his first tour with the Rockets. Time will tell, and I certainly hope it is indeed baseless speculation.
I fear the Blazers and even worse, the league has figured Harden out. It seems he's not getting the cheap reach in fouls when he drives to the basket. Defenders seem to be avoiding the contact and the hack but challenging at the end of his euro step forcing him to finish under pressure. Harden lives at the free throw line and if the defenders are avoiding him jumping into them, it takes away a big part of his game, especially when his three-ball isn't falling. Hopefully Harden can find other ways to score otherwise this one-trick poney maybe all over.
I wish McHale would have taken a lesson out of Rudy T.'s playoff preparation book. Rudy took all the player to Galveston to isolate them from parting temptations and had them focus on nothing else than getting ready for the playoffs. An immature team like ours--needs this type of management.
true. mentioned it last season and surprised the league figure it out this late, maybe need proper training to change def habit. also surprised he didnt add any significant weapons to his skill set during off season but after gradually figuring out and reassured who he is any future drama wont surprise me.
Yes, certainly comparing a two-game sample to an 82-game sample is a good way to make valid blanket conclusions about a player's career.
it's a bit harsh but there some truth to it, he has 2-3 go to moves. The eurostep going to his left, the pull up 3 and a midrange stepback. Portland did their homework, they challenge him on his 3s and when he attacks the basket, they back off until he pins himself underneath the basket with the 1-2eurostep then challenge him
The Blazers have done a good job, but the idea that NBA teams don't scout and try to take things away from James during the regular season is just crazy. The idea that the Blazers figured something out that, say, Popovich's staff couldn't figure out... well, that's worse than crazy.
There is one particular play when Harden attack with the Europe steps and seem to be wide open for a layup but was short. This is usually money for Harden. I was shocked to see that. This is what I mean. The Harden of the regular season would have scored that effortlessly. I DO NOT understand why he is not the same player. Hell, even shots that normally on target was way off as well. And him trying to alley-oop to Howard when Howard is not even open is also a representation of how screwed up Harden is. He doesn't want to admit it...but there is something with this dude. Another thing, how often do you see Harden attack the basket in these games?? Not very often and that's rare to see that.
This is my first time i logged in since the first defeat from Portland, i will log in again if we win another game( I hope We trade Harden, so as not to have high expectations any more )... good bye.
The Blazers haven't done anything special except they are not swiping at the ball and not getting calls. But why would they if Harden is missing everything right now. James just needs to focus, make a few buckets and keep driving to the basket. He'll be fine.
