CyberX is on to something, and as much as I'd like to contribute/clarify/affirm/deny his claims, I'm not sure how willing I am to get more of the nasty replies/hatemail/facebook messages that come with sharing info.

It doesn't matter either way, I guess. The majority of Rockets fans, including me, have called it all year. McHale was never built for this. I'm sure Morey was elated that we made it as a 4 seed, but I bet he peed himself a bit when he looked at Kevin's playoff experience/record.

I hope we can pull this out, but how disappointing for us as fans.

Morey knew the roster would be flipped over multiple times over more than likely and was probably more concerned about having more of a player consultant and spokesperson than having the guy who could put together the best game design. I remember Morey saying something about him not being comfortable being the most recognizable name in the organization at the time.

At the time of the hire there was kind of a well... What's to lose attitude with the hire. People are forgetting that now as if Morey should have known things would turn so serious so fast(and holy crap s$&% is serious around these parts).

Also let's not forget that much like Lin, three year contract... Not really a guarantee of being a franchise cornerstone. Not to mention the point of emphasis to have Finch on the staff to basically be groomed for the future.

That Mchale is USING Sampson's absence as an excuse. Baloney. I doubt Kevin Mchale is an excuse maker. Kevin Sampson left the team, he wasn't fired. Mchale lost the second most important person on his staff.

It's funny, some people in here used to rip Sampson. Now they rip lack of Sampson.

My wife said it the first night he was gone "they miss Sampson" What ever McHale's short comings, passing the buck is not one of them. We do miss Sampson !

 

Many fans tend to rip a coach when he's here, then praise him after he's gone, especially if his successor runs into any kind of difficulty. Happened with several of the recent Rockets coaches.

Personally, I think if Harden gets out of his funk, Parsons stops reading fanzines and Jeremy Lin remembers who it is he is throwing a spit ball too,
McHale will suddenly become an ok coach again.

I don't get it, he is awful at X's and O's and he is saying that Sampson was the defensive preacher and he always kept Harden in check...!!! so what does he do...?
