We lose this game and go down 3-0. Then come back and win 4-3.

    No not really

1st quarter: Rockets come out crisp, 3 pt lead after one.
2nd quarter: LMA goes absolutely crazy again. Has 17 points by halftime. Rose garden in bedlam, and Rockets slink to halftime with about 10 point deficit.

Halftime: Either an inspirational speech by the once-stomped Portland homeless gentleman gets everyone fired up, or a big Dwight fart gets every laughing.

3rd quarter: Rockets have regrouped and now play their best, loosest quarter of the series. Blazers feeling tight since they could clinch the series. Rim gets tight on them. Quarter ends with Rockets up.

4th quarter: Rockets bench starts the quarter with surprising burst, and starters return to only keep piling on.

Signature win, in Portland, by 15 points.

I'd like to see McHale shake up the starting lineup with Lin, Dmo, or Asik getting the nod over Beverly and/or TJones. It would send a message from the opening tip: this is a different team you're playing tonight.

I like the idea of starting Lin w/ TT & giving DMo and Daniels some minutes. Hell, anything to switch things up on our own terms and force Blazers to adjust for a change.

LOLOL. "I bet Portland will be so bad that LMA will demand a trade and we can get him easily!" Oh, okay.

Playoffs series tests the ability of a coach to be able to make adjustment in game. Teams are gonna do things differently than the regular season.

In game one they relentlessly posted up James Harden and made him try to defend.

In game 2, the delayed blitz doubled both Harden and Howard in key situations, especially as either of them started to get rolling in the fourth.

In game 3, I fully expect James to play better; but Im not sure if that will be enough. The Rockets have no answer on how to stop Portland's midrange/inside game. They are getting torched by LMA, and they dont even know how to double their opponents. They have taken away the Rockets style of play, bc they have dictated the tempo...There are times I feel comfortable with the Rockets ability to bounce back, but I feel nothing of the sorts this time. I have zero confidence in Mchale being able to abandon his original game plan(actually feel im giving him too much credit for even having a plan) and I have zero confidence that we can miraculously win two in a really tough place to play on the road.

This series is over just purely based on what I have seen, and I do not expect anything to change. Just my honest opinion.

The only people playing consistent D and strong playoff style D are:

    Pat
    Asik..

Dwight showed up for D in game 2....

To win the next two games in portland, we need everyone to play some strong D...no jogging back, no losing your player....face guard your man FFS....thats talking to you James.....

Parsons need to lock down Batum, it's pretty obvious Lillard is too quick for him....no shame in that, Lillard is quicker than most guards...as in sneaky quick...

Dwight needs to turn in a monster on D and do everything...

I know things look dismal, but there is a glimmer of hope. A win on Friday would be so encouraging. I think it is entirely possible. If not, bye bye American pie, I drove my Chevy to the levy….

    1. Send a DOUBLE TEAM at Aldridge. A hard double team.
    2. Throw in DMO for a few minutes at LMA. DMO has the length and lateral quickness to keep up with LMA. Nothing else worked anyway.
